Hi S.
I have a few suggestions...
1) make sure your Home owners insurance will cover you putting one in.
2) If you live in a housing addition make sure your home owners association will approve it. (if you have one)
When we moved into the house we have now there was a pool in the backyard and our insurance agency said they would not issue us insurance if we kept the pool in the yard. They said it was to much of a liability for them, we also live next door to a church and at the time the had a daycare at the church and that was another reason.
They will also not cover us having a trampoline in our backyard. So I would check your Home owners insurance before you go any farther.
Also as far as pools A friend went to Watson's and they have a really nice above ground pool with a deck on it, it's really nice. You might try there. They got it last summer and got a really good deal on it.
Hope this helps you W..
