Have you looked into the YMCA? There is one in Palm Harbor behind the PH high school. They have tons of classes and activities for little ones.

Hi! I was wondering if any of you had some ideas for things to do/classes ect.. on an ongoing basis with my 3 year old. We were very busy with classes at Gymboree - but it just closed its doors. My little one is going to be so sad and so bored. I am in Oldsmar but I am willing to travel. Any ideas are welcome!
Thanks:)

Hi Robyn! My daughter and I also went to the Countryside Gymboree on Monday's, so I can relate to your disappointment. It's such a shame....there are no winners in that scenario, that's for sure. I joined the Clearwater Small Tots Meetup group several weeks ago and we've never been busier or had more fun! This week our tots will be making pizza at Ci-Ci's, having a toddler Halloween party, as well as having a Fall Arts & Crafts playdate! Next week, going to the park, touring a fire station, and bumper bowling! Check us out and join us!
Have you considered joining the MOMS Club of Clearwater? They schedule playdates every week for your group of all like-aged kids. I am in the 3 yr old group with my daughter and LOVE it. We plan lots of fun activities at many local places, kids houses, plan joint events with other groups, moms nights out, etc. We just had our Fall Party at Countryside Park this past weekend with lots of fun and food! If you are interested, email me!
If you aren't interested in becoming part of anything organized, here are some local toddler times/places for things going on.... Bounce U has toddler times on every weekday except Wed from 9:30-11:00 for $5.50 and they get a snack and drink, Planet Jump has open jump all day (daytime is best for smaller kids), Great Explorations is always awesome, Future Flipz and Apollo Gym are both great and offer toddler times (call for schedule), Cafe Bebe is a favorite and has open play and nice classes for things she may be interested in...same with My Little Playtown. As far as parks... Largo Central Park, Countryside Park, Dunedin Park, Long Center Park, Oldsmar Splash Park, Highland Rec Ctr Park and Crest Lake Park are all very nice. All the local libraries offer toddler story times and many have kid play areas in the childrens book areas that are very nice. The book stores all have toddler story times through the week too, you just have to check with each one.
There is SOOOOOO much to do with your little one! Plus, keep in mind that the Countryside Gymboree location has NOT YET CLOSED....so if you still have a membership, get over there today and make use of it before they close :-) Maybe we will see you there, we still had 16 weeks left of ours too! There is a family class today at 11:30am....
Best Wishes! Maybe we will see you around!
Play Patch (SE corner of Tampa Rd. & Racetrack/Lafayette) is perfect for a 3yo - they have open play & lots of different classes; Future Flipz (NE corner of SR 590 & US 19) is great for tumble class & open play; Rollie Pollies (W. Hillsborough by Lifestyle Fam. Fitness) is fun for tumble class/open play; Pump It Up (Racetrack past Linebaugh) is great for expending energy. Barnes & Noble does a preschool story time, as do the libraries - these often include a simple art/craft. There's a great park in Safety Harbor (around 7th & 7th) - North City Park maybe? Very nice. RE Olds Park on the water in Oldsmar; Phillippe Park; in hot weather the spraypark on Pine in Oldsmar. Have fun -
My 2 1/2 year old does gymnastics at Future Flipz in Clearwater. She loves it and she can get her energy out :)
I am an Assistant Organizer of a FANTASTIC Mom's group in Clearwater! We have playdates all over North Pinellas. Check us out...

Hi Robyn,
I am a certified instructor with Music with Mar. and we have fun, interactive music and movement classes throughout the community for ages 0-6. Classes do not teach music, but use music to teach basic developmental skills (social, motor, language). Prices are per family, not per child! For a schedule and for more info, check out www.musicwithmar.com. I teach in Tampa & Oldsmar.

Take her to Walspring Park...By 11:00 a.m. there are always people and kids/toddlers there. It is a great park with plenty of covered equipment to play on and a spring with a bridge to feed fish off of. It's a 1/2 mile past Alderman on the left if heading north, make a right 1/2 mile before Alderman if heading South. It's not far from the Old Schoolhouse restaurant. Look for the brown Rec. Park sign. It's behind a plant nursery. Great place!! Free too....Also, most libraries have reading groups for kids as well if you want to do that...
