I am looking for something reasonably priced and indoors or out doors with indoor access for a 3 and 4 year old in the DFW area.
I dont want to do the zoo or a pool.
I want to take them somewhere fun and new.
PLEASE no one say Chuck E Cheese.

P.S. - Try "Itz Family Fun Center" in Euless. It's a huge indoor area (a step up from Chuck E Cheese)...It's off 183 and Industrial Blvd.

Grapevine Mills Mall is great - it has Legoland, Rainforest Cafe, and an aquarium is opening soon (I think sometime this month).

Legoland is soooooooo much fun!

There is a deal on the Beget.com website for 2 passes at the Indoor Safari Park for $10 (1/2 off). My understanding is that adults are free. They have locations and in Southlake and Plano.

Offer Description

We're pretty sure you don't get to ride robotic dinosaurs on a real safari, and we're also pretty sure that real safaris aren't air conditioned, which is why you and your child should love this deal from Indoor Safari Park. You'll pay only $10 for two Safari Play Passes, normally worth $20. Each pass includes two rides on the Safari Train, plus a ride on a robotic cheetah, elephant, zebra or dinosaur. It also includes unlimited mini golf and full access to the Jungle Gym, Soft Play area and the hands-on Play Centers, featuring lots of fun activities.

Abbeys Playtown in Grand Prairie is very affordable. Its an indoor playground with tons of toys, dress up clothes, ride on things. They let you bring your own food in, so, we pick up a $5 hot n ready pizza and take it with us.

Lonestar Park horse races is fun and affordable - again, they let you bring in your own food.

Legoland in Grapevine is the bomb

Nash Farms in Grapevine has a day each month where the kids can climb all over the tracotrs and pet the animals.

oh, i forgot to tell you - sign up for My Dfw Mommy.com and Frugal in Fort Worth. You get tons of ideas that way.

The Ft. Worth Museum of Science & History has a really neat kids play area. Hands on stuff and a water area (just water tables, etc). Lots of fun at those ages.

I know it's really hot outside, but my almost 3 yr old loves the Arboretum. We have a yearly membership (about $75 for the three of us), so we try and go in cooler months than July, but did go once a few weeks ago to see the Story Book Houses. My favorite indoor option is the Science Museum at Fair Park. They have an awesome downstairs area for the little ones under 6. There's a water table, fire truck with slide, entire room of pretend barn animals, fun mirrors, and a room with small cages with insects, etc. This is a great option when its 105 out!

Another fun thing we like to do to cool off is to go to the splash park at Campbell Green Park. It's a great way for them to expend energy and get wet at the same time to avoid the heat. That's in North Dallas.

Studio Movie Grill offers KidzToon movies for $2 a person on Saturday and Sundays at 11 am. New movie each month. Our 2 year old loves it!

We also like JumpZone in Southlake which offers $5 admission on Fridays to the first 50 or 100 people. I can't remember but we get there around 11 and it's always $5.
