OH MY GOSH i JUST looked at your picture and you have beautiful hair! Anyway, I do think taking fish oil tablets help, and lots of wonderful vitamins but I really don't know what you are worried about. You are beautiful.
I have SUPER thin hair, its like baby fine hair. I just had my hair cut shorter( just above shoulders) with layers. I have put in highlights. I blow dry my hair upside down. NOTHING seems to work. How do I get my hair to look thicker? Am I doomed? Also, my hair is really oily so it has to be washed everyday so I can't go without washing it. Any tricks?

You sound like my sister! Make sure you are eating lots of protein and healthy fats. Both of those help with hair and nails.
Also, look into Big and Sexy hair products (ignore the name!). They have a powder product that you put just a touch on your hands, then put it on the roots of your hair, and it gives it boost and makes it look much thicker. It's called Big and Sexy Powder Play. You only need a small amount, so while the bottle is tiny, it'll last a while. I have been using their products to help my hair look thicker. Hot rollers also add a ton of body and make the hair look fuller, but I'm not sure you can do that with short hair! I use huge rollers and it adds a lot of body.
Good luck!
I don't know how to make your hair look thicker. I have the same problem. But I found that when I washed my hair every day it was especially oily. For me, I gradually washed my hair less often until I"m down to twice a week and my hair is less oily. When we shampoo we're washing the oil out of our scalp causing it to produce more.
If you don't use a shampoo for oily hair that may help with the oil.
Until the last few years I found my hair looked better when it was really short, ear lobe length. The weight of the hair didn't drag the top of my hair flat. Now, I'm a senior who is losing hair. Wish I knew how to stop that.
I think blow drying is not good, and my mother said I had very thin hair when I was a toddler, and she made my head completely bold twice and now I have normal hair. I don't know whether that technique is applicable to elderly people, but you better only if your hair grows in regular length. Good luck!
My dad's twin sister had extremely thin hair too. He had hair and they diagnosed her with pattern baldness since it was so thin. There are products out there that promote the hair follicle to grow, I can't remember what the names are but you can find out if you visit a doc. They can even give you prescription strength medication that you rub in.
Some have the hair surgery to get thickness on top but if it's thin all over they won't have that strip of full thick hair on the back of the head to cut off and replant on top.
I know my aunt felt self conscious all her life and almost always wore a wig. She hardly ever went without one.
Massage your hair gently every day. Massage lightly with fingertips.
I agree with the earlier post, add proteins to your diet (lentils, beans, yogurt, etc).
Take a vitamin (can also try hair & nails supplements)
3-4 months after a stressful event or time, we experience thinning of hair & losing hair. De-stress, dont let anything get to you. Be positive.
Sleep well.
Any positive changes to diet, attitude or lifestyle will take at least 8-12 weeks to show on your hair.
