How about giving him a handwritten card or letter telling him al of that, in your own words. And include a coupon or two for something you are willing to do for him. Maybe there is something that he would like for you to do with him sometimes, but you are usually not anxious to do it? Also coupons for things that he might enjoy but that you all don't do on a regular basis, something that you can do for him that makes him feel special, maybe a coupon for breakfast in bed, a foot massage, a back rub, a dinner for two served at home after the kids are in bed, ... These are just suggestions, you know your husband and when you think about it you can probably come up with things that would really mean something to him. Offering something that is individually meaningful also shows that you really considered him and thought about him when getting/making his present.
I have received little coupon books like this, from my husband and also from my kids, and they mean so much more to me than receiving something that they just plopped down some money for. And the best part is, when I use one of those coupons it offers me some special time with the giver, and that is the stuff memories are made of...
