You need to look into interstitial cystitis...sounds like what this is to me. I had it in my 30s and it is now in remission.
Moms,
I am suffering from a bad got-to-go feeling all the time. It just sneaked up on me this winter........ actually I wouldnt say that - I had the problem and was told about the Kegel by the gynaecologist, but chose to ignore it until now. Earlier I was aware of it only when I coughed (rarely) or I sneezed (maybe once in a few days), while now it is constant and is scaring me terribly.
Someone just write me a note saying I am not alone in this and that you went through this and the Kegels helped, this will do. Thanks in advance, just feel totally alone on this.
Thanks to every one of you for writing. I started the Kegels today and shall pay a vist to my Gynaecologist and see what she has to say (in case it is cytitis). Just reading your replies made me feel not so alone on this. Thanks again.

I had the same thing and turns out I have a Interstitial cystitis, it is where the lining of your bladder is irritated and inflamed and also may have small holes in it. I was running (literally sometimes) to the bathroom once or twice every hour because I felt like I had to go right then and there and when I finally got there, sometimes I would go a lot and sometimes hardly anything. I had a cystoscopy done; they put a camera in your urethra to see into your bladder (you are asleep) and was on medication, elmeron and vesicare for many months and now I am not taking any medication since I am trying to get pregnant but I watch my diet very closely and that has helped a lot, I am starting to get some of the old symptoms back but hopefully it won't get as bad as last time since I can't take any of the meds while pregnant.
Since I had some other gyno issues at a young age I started going very young. When I was 17 they told me about kegels. I just got into the regular habit of doing them every night as I doze off to sleep. I had a twin pregnancy and never once did I ever have any leaks even during pregnancy. Coincidence? I can't say for sure, but other mothers of multiples I know all seem to have at least some leakage during their pregnancy. So- I'm just saying do the kegels. It definetly doesn't hurt...and it also makes things better for you and your mate in the bedroom.
Ask for a urinalysis to be safe. This is a classic sign for urinary tract infections (the constant urge to go), and I had a problem with this a while back then passed a huge kidney stone a week later. So don't rule out these problems either!
I am with you sister, I do not know how old you are but the closer I get to 50 the worse it gets. I have tried keigels but have to admit I was not very consistent with them. You might want to go to your doctor to check for a UTI, several years ago I had no other symptoms and was shocked to find out that was what it was. I have suffered from them since childhood, my doctor could not figure out how I was even functioning because the levels were so high, That can turn into a kidney infection so check it out. Good luck
You dfinitly are not alone, i have had this problem for about 10 years, i even went so far as to have bladder suspension surgery. It did help much if any. If you come up with any answers let me know.

I had this symptom too. My Ob-gyn thought it could have been interstitial cystitis but the urologist eventually found out I had a stricture (kink) in my urethra that was preventing my bladder from emptying. After 8 months of suffering the urologist fixed it in about 1-2 minutes. He numbed me and stretched my urethra. I had no pain during the procedure. (prior to the procedure he put me on Detrol, an RX drug, that did relieve my symptoms.)
I spent years feeling like this. Running in and out of bathrooms at work, and I knew every public restroom in our state. So I know what you mean, after doctor visits I truly believe it was anxiety in addition to the other things and don't know how often you do the hoochey coochey but if that is intermittent I think it stirs things up. It feels like the forever bladder infection and then the doctor tells you its not. Try the kegels and let us know. However don't be in pain all of the time, be sure you get all of your other tests women need to rule out anything else. GOOD LUCK you are NOT alone.
You're far from alone! Most women suffer from this at some point in their life, especially if they've had children. I had the bladder suspension surgery before mine got bad. I was 44 at the time and it's the best thing I ever did. I also had a friend that had the same surgery at 38! You should definitely consider that option!
