Has anyone been to the Texas State Aquarium? I just seen it online and it looks like lots of fun. My kids are wanting to go to the beach...is Corpus Christie kid friendly? Thanks for your input, anything and everything is appreciated!

we went 2 years ago when our dd was 2.5 and she loved it! one word of advice i'd drive across the bridge if you want to actually enjoy the water. the jellyfish are awful in corpus, we couldn't get in the water and even in the shore we had to be careful so it wasn't very relaxing.

This is a great aquarium. We went in April and my kids loved it. They have some nice exhibits and a great playground my daughters enjoyed. They have a dolphin show and another show with birds and other wild animals, most of whom are rescue animals. The jellyfish are really cool! I have never stayed in Padre. I would recommend Port A, because you get to ride the ferry, there is a bird walk, a playground, lots of shops and restaurants, and, of course, the beach.

The aquarium is awesome! We did sight-seeing in Corpus but actually stayed on North Padre right on the beach. It was just right for us & our 3 little ones. :)
