They are widely used, but they contain Bella Donna, an herb which can be extremely toxic if too much is taken.
I personally preferred the Homepathic Teething Drops by Gentle Naturals. (Made by the same company that makes Oragel, they taste good, work great - yes, I tried them - and are branded under the Disney label - have Pooh and Piglet or Eyeore on the box & bottle.) Most importantly, no Bella Donna.
But as with any homeopathic treatment, homeopathic does not mean risk free. Any of the ingredients in them could cause an allergic reaction, so keep a close eye the first couple of times you use them.

C.

The teething tablets are AWESOME! Follow the directions on the bottle, and you'll be good to go! I used them in conjunction with Motrin at bedtime and Tylenol during the day with my little one. They worked better than Anbesol and Orajel. The best benefit was that they helped soothe and calm my child, which made for a well-rested and less cranky baby.

I've not used them but may triplet friends over the years say they work wonders!
I have used them on both my kids. They are very safe and work. I liked use the tablets better then giving them tylenol all the time. The tablets melt very fast and can be a little messy if they spit them out other then that I really liked them. Hope they work for you if you decide to use them.

Hi D., Never heard of them. We used a slightly wet clean wash cloth left in the freezer for a bit. Our girls chewed on them for a bit then we'd just wash and re-freeze. It worked great, never made a mess and there were no drugs/chemicals etc... this was recommended to me by an old family friend.

They didn't work for my son, but I have 2 friends who swear by them. They're safe when used as directed, so I say give them a shot. Can't hurt to try :)

You really can't use them too much. They have so little of anything in them that's the whole point behind the homeopathic treatments. It helps your body to get through without drugging you down. These are a great treatment to have handy as well as all the other things that Hylands makes

they are awesome. i used them on my son since he started getting teeth at 18 months old. they are all natural and they do help when they are cranky. i used those and tylenol on my son when he is getting teeth and it makes a world of difference. i do not like the baby ambesol. it tastes bad and makes it numb. I turned my coworker on to them and she loves them also. good thing to get. use them they are safe.

I used Hyland's for all 3 of my kids. They're not as effective as Advil, but they are safe and I found them to be helpful.

I haven't used the teething tablets, but have used the other hyland's teething products and they worked great! I believe I used the salve that you rub on a baby's gums. It was very useful when my daughter was very young and I did not want to give her a lot of tylenol.

yes - we had terrible teething issues and I used that...to be honest I'm not sure they really did much good for pain, but it helped with mood and temperment. What worked better for me was Chamomilla 30C - my bottle says Standard Homeopathic, Los Angeles, CA - I can't remember the website I ordered from, I got like 5 bottles all at once so I wouldn't have to pay more shipping and so that I'd have them on hand. I still use them as needed on crabby or stressful days for my daughter although she has all her teeth now. I believe Hyland's is perfectly safe, and have never had any issues with my daughter from using any of their otc products. Good Luck!

Hi D.,
I currently use teething tabs with my 5 month old they are not the hyland brand, but I love them. They help take the edge off and also help her sleep when the teeth are keeping her up. I do watch how many I give her and only when I can tell she is really bothered by her teething.. I have never had any issues with them and actually they are a life saver a lot of the time when nothing else seems to work.
Since my duaghter is so young I just take the tablet and gently rubbed it on her gums until it dissolves..
Good luck...

We use them along with a bit of Tylenol to take the edge off of teething for our daughter. I wouldn't say that I'm 100% a believer in them but they don't have any adverse effect and they seem to help a bit.

They are safe. I don't think they work very well, but lots of other parents do. But they are safe-- the Poison Control expert I read said you would have to eat the equivalent of 7 bottles in one setting to get sick from them.

Hi D.,
teething tablets are terrific. They are homeopathic and all-natural. I used teething tablets for all 3 of my children. They help the baby relax when teething pain is getting the best of them.

I feel like a weirdo saying this but they NEVER worked for me (I mean my daughter) and I always assumed that it was due to the placebo effect that anyone had any success....I may have to rethink that position! :)

They are wonderful and work well. a GREAT product. I used them over 20 years ago! Some of the best products are those that stood the test of time.
It might start you on a journey of studying natural and homeopathic remedies which work better than drugs.

D.,
We used them for our daughter when she was theething and it helped her a great deal. Instead of giving her Tylenol all the time we used the teething tablets with no problems. My sister-in-law used them with both of her children as well and they worked with no problems. I would recommend them to anyone with a teething child.
I hope this helps.

I only wish I had known about them five years ago when my son was teething. I was baby sitting for a friend's O. year old and she told me to give him 2 before bedtime. They totally dissolve on the tongue, so if you're worried about that--don't be! Just follow the directions on the package for proper dosage & use.
