Teething, Growth Spurt?

My daughter has always been a really good sleeper and I am beyond thankful for that but..... over the last few weeks I have noticed that she is way more tired than normal. She is 21 months and still takes 2 decent naps a day. Over the last month or so I actually though she was starting to transition to just one nap but I think she quickly realized that she needs her sleep. Well today I realized that she slept from 8:45pm last night to 8:45am this morning (12 hrs) and she seemed tired by mid morning. She went for a nap at 11:45am and slept for 1 1/2 hrs. Then she started to get tired again by mid afternoon. I tried to keep her busy but she just wanted to sleep so at 4:15pm I put her to bed again. I plan to get her up as soon as Im done this post so that she doesnt sleep too long and wont sleep tonight. Do you Mommies know if this sounds like a growth spurt or maybe she is getting her back molars? She does seem to be teething but she is so sleepy that Im not sure that the two are related or not. I will also mention that she is a great eater too and her diet hasnt changed any so its not that
Thanks in advance

If she doesn't have a temperature or any other symptoms, It sounds like a growth spurt to me! Don't worry, momma...just let her rest.

I would expect that she'll be eating a little less during these tired times, but will eat like CRAZY afterwards.

When my son is hitting any growth-spurts or major developmental changes... he sleeps like that too.
I let him.
He will even sleep through any meal times.
I let him.
I let him sleep.
Granted, this is not him being sick or with a cold. He is just hitting major growth-spurts etc.

Go by your child's cues... for naps/sleep.

I personally do not wake my son up, when he is going through that. And he still sleeps fine at night normally.

My daughter was always so much more tired when she was teething, it was kind of weird, but that was totally a symptom for her, so it could be teething. My son on the other hand gets more tired right before he gets sick, as someone else mentioned. I would just keep an eye on her and if she's tired, let her sleep. It does sometimes throw a wrench in your day if she's still taking 2 naps, but I love them when they're asleep! ;)

My kids sleep like that right before getting a mild fever or while growing. I always assume that it is growth or about to get sick.

Hmm could be one or the other or both.
My son went through that.
Maybe rub some baby Orajel over her backgums at the very least.
Just to be sure. Let her have her sleep at night & naptime to rejuvenate.
You can always ask the ped if he/she thinks she might need some infant
Motrin if it continues.
