Teeth Grinding - DPO,AA

My 15mo DD has eight teeth, four on top and four on bottom. She's grinding them when I tell her she can't do something. So she's doing it on purpose I think she knows it really bothers me and my husband. How can I get her to stop? She's not doing it because it's new and fun that stage was a while ago. Now she only does it when she is told no and it drives me crazy like fingernails on a chalkboard. I've given her pacifiers or something else to chew on but to no avail. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

What can I do next?

M., I had a couple of kids who did this, too, and the more I noticed the behavior, the more they did it. So, I "stopped noticing," and whenever they did it, I would distract by calling their attention to something completely unrelated, or I would completely ignore them. Eventually, when they stopped getting the reaction, they stopped doing it. Definitely requires patience.

Ignore it (even if you are cringing inside!).

I agree with the others--ignore it. It's not hurting anything. Our peridontist reminded me that it's their baby teeth, not permanant teeth, so it's nothing to worry about. She'll find another way to annoy you! HAHA

My daughter did the same thing... was just something fun and new and then it got old and she moved on to other things to do. I am sure your DD will too
