Take your ring off. See what happens. If you can't get the ring off see if soaking your hand in some cold water reduces the swelling. If that doesn't help, try dish liquid.

It could very well be an allergic reaction to the insect stings you've been getting. Benedryl is an option to try to reduce the swelling.

You could also call your primary care physician and ask for advice.

My middle finger is swollen, but I'm pretty sure it's from overuse.

This happens to me ALOT!!! The heat & being in the car is making your finger swell, use some lotion to remove your ring, wash your hands in cold water & then get some good lotion I use one for eczema & keep your ring off until the redness goes away & don't wear it while you are travelling...Also, each & EVERY time you get your hands wet, remove your ring & COMPLETELY dry the ring & your finger! I hope this works for you, it sure does for me! Happy VACA!

Mama:

Do you see a place where something MAY have bit you?

Put some butter on your finger and take your ring off. Look for a spot where you might have been bit...other than that? I can't help you. You haven't given enough information...

If you think it's a bug bite and it's itching? Take some Benadryl...
