Has a doctor actually seen these swollen upper eyelids? or he just took your word for it?
I have a 1yr old baby boy and I started noticing that his upper eyelids would get swollen every time he woke up and by the end of the day it will be gone. But yesterday one eye was swollen than the other. I took him to the doctor and she gave me eye drops and an antibiotic to see that maybe he might have an eye infection, but I'm just concerned that it might something else or he might be allergic to something? Do any of moms have had this problem with any of their children? Please help

Hey L.,
I have very similar issues when we have windy days in the fall. I would suspect that he has some sort of allergy.
Some foods can also cause allergic reactions, so you may want to start a journal of the foods he's eating to see if you can narrow down if any of his snacks or meals has something in it that he's allergic to, especially if it's something that you just introduced to his diet.
Is the swollen skin really dry too? My son is allergic to dustmites, we just found out about a year ago. When he was baby he would rub his eyes during his sleep and they would get swollen and be really dry. Try cleaning his bedding really good and use pillow and mattress covers and see if it helps. Use aquaphor around his eyes to keep the skin moist.
my kids are sensitive to laundry detergent (didn't know it at the time). When my son learned to roll over his eyelids also were effected and would swell slightly. It went away during the day but it was from his eyes being sensitive and him rubbing them all night. We changed detergents and it went away. If you are still using Dreft, I suggest Ivory Snow. We were using Dreft and now have no issues since moving over to Ivory Snow.
Do you have any pets in the house? My daughter had 1 eye that always bothered her up until she was about 1 1/2 she grew out of it. She would get pink eye all the time. Just a sugestion as to why this is happening.
