I would like to have my 3.5 year old take swim lessons this summer and am looking into several different places - Aqua Kids, Win Kids and YMCA. Do you have any experience with these programs? I'd love to hear any and all feedback regarding these or other swim instruction facilities in the Flower Mound area. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I didnt care for Aqua kids. It was very expensive. Now my oldest daughter is more afraid to go swimmimg. Last summer I put her in swim lessons and the teacher was not paying any attention and she slipped and fell under. One of the other teachers in the pool helped my daughter out. After that she did not want to go back or swimming which bother my other daughter cause she loved swimming and did well in the class she took of course she was 2 1/2 yr old at the time and I had to get in the pool with her. That teacher was good. I guess I have mixed emotions on Aqua Kids.
Good Luck!

My 2.5 year old daughter is enrolled at Win Kids, but their pool won't be ready for another week or so. Both of my girls have been going to gymnastics there for quite some time and I know the swim coaches. I have no doubt it will be a great program.

We had a great experience at Aqua Kids. I believe our instructor was a woman named Barbara. She was a bit older, more like a young grandmother and was very gentle yet motivating. My boys were near impossible to teach. They'd had so many lessons with vaious private instructors. This lady worked miracles. She cried when they swam for the first time. She really cared about her students.

M.,

My younger brother(just turned 9)went to Aqua Kids for a believe 2 years. The pool is heated, and I believe they use that Salt water system so it is much better on your skin and eyes. When he first started he had no clue how to swim, when he finished (about 4 months ago) he is a great swimmer. From what my mom said they are pricey but good, and the great think is they have classes at all different times and days. They also do swim partys.
