I love the Clubhouse for Kids; you can bring your own decorations to the party room; can be batman or superman deocorations.
We are a month away from celebrating my son's 5th birthday. We are debating between the firestation (which I am silently voting for -to be outside of the house after all the holiday parities); however, my son would LOVE a superhero party (Batman & Superman being his favorites). Any suggestions for in home or away... I am in need of help.
Thanks gals; you are the best. Happy Holidays, D.

A Mom in Allen rents out trunks of dress up clothes and a sheet that plans the entire party for you! She's awesome to work with and very flexible! Check out her website.

My nephew did a superhero birthday party last year and I made him a cake with a symbol on the top that looks like the superman symbol but instead of the S I did an M (for Michael). I think the previous suggestion of the clubhouse where you can bring your own decor would be better. The less cleaning and prep for you the better! That would give them a place to play and you can still do the theme they are interested in. You could come up with some kind of activity that makes everyone feel like a superhero and could also serve as their party favor like maybe getting some kind of inexpensive plastic masks that are plain colored and letting each child decorate to create their own superhero disguise. Good luck!
Hi D.,
We've been to fun fire station parties but never had one ourselves!
We had a superhero party when my son turned 4. It was so much fun! Up to then we had every party at home - which as you know can turn into lots of work. We had this one at a park and it was awesome. It was a "generic" super-hero party -not superman or spiderman. I made capes for all of the kids - red, blue and pink. I ordered "design your own" eye masks from Oriental Trading company. I wrote their names on them before the party and then the children colored and put stickers on. I also gave them flashing light-up rings. It seems liks something else like a slap bracelet too. I painted a blue shirt to look like the superman symbol with a "4" in the middle instead of an "S" for my son. The kids ran around the park and played. I had sidewalk chalk and a bubble machine. It was great and super easy! With 5 year-olds, you could easily do a couple of games too. Like a relay or something, or some sort of super-hero mission! For his 5th birthday we went to the same park for an animal rescue. I hid tiny animals all over the park and the kids had to find them. It was so fun! Anyway, I'm rambling - I love parties! :)
But, as they get older, I feel like away from home is the way to go! Especially, if you're inviting more and more children (like the whole class) if he's in school.
Have fun! He'll love it no matter what you do!
