Mamas & Papas-

Is there a real life super nanny? someone who is well qualified in the care and maintenance of children, marriage and a good home, who comes to yours, does an observation, makes recommendations, helps in the implementation, and leaves you with a happier, healthier home?

We've reached out to our ped with a similar question.

Thanks for your tips and advice.

No, but my husband and I took the Love and Logic course. I think it gave us the tools to be good parents. We did accomplish a happier healthier home, but I don't think there is any "easy street." If you haven't already, consider taking the course.

Yes - the Q&A board on MamaPedia!

We're not all inside your home, but, that would get awfully crowded.... ;-)

Could you ask for a parenting coach? That sounds like what you want. They will usually do some observations, chat with parents about what *they* feel are the biggest concerns/priorities and also provide referrals if there is a deeper issue which requires counseling.

That said, there isn't always a standard qualification procedure (which I am aware of, in any case) for certifying people for this job. Just like a life coach, you could get someone amazing or someone who you don't really jibe with. Do your research.

Super Nanny is Jo Frost. She has a new show called "Family S.O.S." Maybe you can try to be on it or go to her blog site.
