I just finished researching this out too! Here is a great website I found...
www.sunless.com
Also, the spray-on "pantyhose" were mentioned on Rachel Ray yesterday as being excellent! (never tried it myself)
My legs are so pale! I have seen other people try sunless tanning lotion with orange, streaky results. Has anyone found one with excellent results-- that looks "real" and not fake? Thanks for your help, Mammas!

No matter what tanning lotion I use, I have found the trick to an even, non-streaky tan is to mix my regular lotion with the tanning lotion. I start with about a 50/50 ratio then gradually use more tanning lotion than regular until my tan is where I want it. Then I use almost all tanning lotion once a week just to maintain.
I had the same request about a month ago b/c we went on vacation to the beach. I had some really good suggestions. Since I had tried over the counter lotions that made me look streaky and orange, I went with the suggestion of Fake Bake Sunless Lotion. I think someone said they sell it at Sephora. I didn't have time to get over to Sephora so I started looking around online and I found it at bodysourceonline.com. It was only $16 plus shipping, so I paid about $23 total. It was still cheaper than the retail prices I was seeing, not to mention I didn't have to drive anywhere to get it.
I was really pleased with the product. It definitely had more of a bronze look than an orange look.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

my friend told me about St. Tropez brand which is green based, so no orange streaks.
I think the best thing to do is buy some of the gradual tan lotion. Like Jergens or I think I use Banana boat. You put it on after you shower just like a lotion. Mine gives you the option of how dark you want to be. Jergens gives you several different shades. I have found that if you buy the darker one, it works much better, and you will not be left looking orange.
Hope this helps! From one white momma to another.
God Bless,

Hi A.-
Arbonne has a great sunless tanning lotion that won't turn you
orange and does not have chemical fragrances or dyes. There
is a great baby line that has lotion, wash and sunscreen. All
the products are botantically based and good for your skin.
Let me know if you want more information. Unfortunately,
I don't have a sample of the tanning lotion.

I really like the Aveno and Jergens. I like that it happens gradually over days. That way you don't get the huge streaks if you put one on that is too dark.
Apply after a shower. Best for you to shave your legs prior to use because the shave will take the dry dead skin off first. The drier your skin, the more cream it will absorb. This is what causes dark spots. A good sugar scrub (I like Victoria's Secret's) helps with heels, knees and elbows.
Good luck! It takes time and patience to find the right one for you.

Arbonne has a great spray on product that also contains SPF 15. I love it and have tried them all! This one is by far my favorite!
HI A.
Arbonne's is the best i've ever used, I hated self tanner before this one! It's SPF 15, easy to use, no streaks, no funny odor, you can use on your face, and it has a TRUE tan color.
I promise you would love it.
if you want more info, let me know :) i can get you some as I am an independent consultant with Arbonne!

I have found the perfect product!!! It is Jergens natural glow daily mosturizer. It is a lotion with sunless tanner and I have never seen a streak or that orange look. It still doesn't smell great but it works really well. I put it on after the shower every other day and it looks very real!
Jergens is great. I use it everyday. No streaks, etc.

I love Jergens! I've used it for a couple of years. I use it everyday when I get out of the shower, which helps to cover any missed spots or paler areas. Once I get a good coverage, I use it every other day or so. I'm really pale (even when I have a tan, you really can't tell it) so I start with the "Fair" and then move to the "Medium" once I get a little color. I've tried the firming one and can't tell any difference.
have you tried the Arbonne self tanner. I love it and it makes the palest skins (my neighbor for example) bronzed and not reddish.

I saw that you received quite a few mentions of Arbonne's sunless tan. I can order it for you at a 35% Discount, without you having to purchase a membership, etc., I will order it from my ID and save you $. It retails for $28, but I can get it for you at my discount for $18.20 (which does not include tax) and I will pay for your shipping.
Just let me know if you are interested. I have used it since the beginning of spring and LOVE IT. No orange, streaks, etc., and I actaully have people commenting on the color, it is very natural.
Good luck! Let me know if I can help.
Thanks,
R.
I like Jergen's.
I tried Arbonne before and couldn't take the smell! It made my skin smell like Fritos!! Jergen's has a nice smell and now they have one with a "firming" ingredient in it.
Hi A.,
I'm with the Arbonne sunless tanning spray. I have a very fair complexion and do not tan easily, at least not without going through the pain of getting sunburned first! I used the Arbonne spray last year and loved it. It gave me an even tan without the orange look. Please let me know if you'd like to give it a try.
Good luck in finding a fit for you!
Jacqueline
Arbonne is great. If you don't already have a consultant and are interested, just email me at ____@____.com or call ###-###-####, and I would love to get it for you.
Oops I see someone has already given you info about Arbonne. :o)
Hi A.,
I am a Mary Kay Consultant and we have a Sunless Tanning Lotion that is excellent. I would be happy for you to try it. It normally sells for $9.50 a tube but I currently have it on sale for $8.00. I will deliver it to you in Allen or will mail it to you free of charge.
Jergens is ok, but it takes awhile to work. The best sunless tanning lotion out there is St Tropez. Its sold in CA so you may have to get it online. This is what the Victorias Secret models use minutes before they do a photo shoot. My uncle has photographed for the catalogue and taught me all the tricks. :0)
I suggest you get the system:

Arbonne has a great product for sunless tans. Last summer a friend of mine tried it and she always looked like she had just spent a week in Hawaii.
I use Loreal Sublime medium to dark for my cheaper brand and I use Sephora's Glow for my expensive brand. The Glow is about $70 but it's in magazines as one of the top self tanners. It doesn't stink or make you feel sticky.
I've tried about all of them - I liked the Boots sunless tanner from Target the best, but then I tried the Arbonne sunless tanner. It seriously looks like you have just been laying out in the sun - I LOVE it. It's a little pricey, but I highly recommend it.
I have the same problem, but I have started using the Dove lotion that just has a hint of the self tanning in it. I use this every other day and it seems to take the glare off at least!
