Summer Program for 4 and 6 Year Old

I am looking for a summer program for my two kids. They turn 4 and 6 (currently in Kindergarten) in May. I can find stuff for the 4 year old but I'm having trouble finding something for the 6 year old. I only work part-time so I don't want to put them in a full day daycare. My almost 6 year old is a shy girl that wouldn't enjoy a lot of the typical summer camps for older elementary kids.

What can I do next?

We'd LOVE to have both at our camp this summer. We have day drop off, 1/2 days, and full weeks. Here's our site - www.AdventureDayCamps.com

Our camps are for ages 4-13 and are held at Meadowmere Park on Lake Grapevine. The campers enjoy activities such as Archery, Target Shooting, Kayaking, Fishing, Swimming in the lake, Arts & Craft projects, Nature Walks, Scavenger Hunts, and more! I even buy a waterslide each year for the little ones :-) We have FUN!

I can be reached at 97-###-###-#### if you have any questions.

Park Cities Baptist Church has lots of different summer camps for young children, especially ones for the 6 year old. Dancing Angels (a sweet little ballet/hip hop/jazz dance class with a Christian focus) does their summer camps through PCBC.

The Dallas Arboretum has summer camps for both age groups, half day (3 hour) in mornings and/or afternoons.

A Little Artsy in Snyder Plaza has lots of week long summer camps for both age groups.

Most gyms (Little Gym, ASI, etc) have summer camps for both ages. Cooking schools, art and pottery places....Google Dallas summer camps and a lot of things should come up. Good luck!

Hi there,
I don't know where you live, but we have a wonderful summer camp at my school!
I am the Director of Reading Friends in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area. We have programs for children ages 2 - 8 this summer. Our curriculum is theme-based and we are using Reader's Theater with our 6 - 8 year old children! All campers meet T/W/TH from 9-12.
If you are interested in learning more, please let me know.
Regards,
M.
