Summer Camps

I'm looking for week-long day camps in the mid-cities, grapevine, area - sports, arts, adventure, etc. I have two girls who are 10 and 11 so a day care is not an option for them anymore - I really want them to have a good time. Thanks for any ideas!

What can I do next?

NEXT year keep in mind 'Bedford Boys Ranch' day camps. I can give details if you want them. This year there is already a waiting list, and I am certain the girls would not be able to get in.

Grapevine Lake has a camp, that Jennifer, another member, was kind enough to send to me. The link is:
www.AdventureTeamKids.com and tuition is $200 per week.

My daughter's are currently going to Flower Mound Parks and Recreation Camp, which is at the new activities center. It's more convenient for me as I live right near it. I pay $150 for my first daughter and $105 for my second per week. www.flower-mound.com

Good Luck!!

We'd LOVE to have your daughters join us this summer at Meadowmere Park on Lake GRapevine! Here's our site - www.AdventureDayCamps.com - or I can be reached at ###-###-####.

We have archery, target shooting, kayaking, fishing, swimming in the lake, water balloons/water guns, nature walks, arts and craft projects, outdoor games, and more.

July 4th, families can come out and join us for fun, food, and fireworks as well :-)

I am not in that area, but I would look at the YMCA or other rec centers. They usually have affordable and fun summer camps for kids that age.

Hi! Our church, Fellowship Church, has a summer camp that is supposed to be awesome. They just finished building all the facilities this spring and it looks amazing - hiking, horseback riding, swim park, etc. It's called Alasso Ranch and is east of dfw. Check it out!

My daughter went to the Monart Art summer camp on Oceans earlier this month and absolutely loved it. Personalized attention and a great atmosphere. Monart School of Art is over in Keller in front of Keller City Hall -- just behind Tom Thumb on 1709. I know that they are having some sort of really good cartoonist coming in July for a week. Check out their website www.kellermonart.com. They've been endorsed by Harvard University. I will be going back for more classes for sure.

My daughters (age 10 and 6) are currently going to Snow's Gymnastics in Keller and are enjoying it. It is very active but there is no arts and crafts. You can check out their website. Also, my 10 year old will be going to College For Kids for three weeks in July. This is held at the Tarrant Community College in Hurst. This will be her third year and she loves it. They get to pick out 8 different classes to go to. The classes include everything from sports to science to math to fine arts etc. Some of the classes fill up early but I don't think its too late to sign up. You can learn more on their website.
