Suggestion for a Family Photographer and Where to Take the Pics

Search photographers in Your area and then go to websites. Look at their work Unless you have a particular area outside that you like, ask for their suggestions. I would do communion pictures separate. Then if you want a family picture, I would go very casual. Jeans and white shirts for all. Formal pictures are so hard to get and does not show personalities. Casual ones are the best no worrying if a dress is wrinkled etc. just my opinion. I think if you look on websites you will see what I mean.

You are about 90 minutes north of us, but she shoots in Annapolis alot, same distance.

She is a little pricey, but you get all of the photo's she takes, versus spending a lot of money and only getting a few shots.

Dresses, check Macy's. I agree with getting casual family photos outdoors then a formal one for your eldest indoors.

She's also on FB & great with children & has years of experience. Good outdoor photo spot is this old little white church on Ox Road near Lorton or maybe Burke Lake Park has a few good spots, once snow melts!

You can find April Rose Photography on FB. April travels to the DC area from Fredericksburg and did family photos for us when we adopted our soon. She did a great job.

I have seen several pretty white communion dresses at Burlington Coat Factory, of all places, so maybe check there.
