I agree with Denise S. The gold ring thing worked amazingly for my sons stye. You rub it on the stye like 5-6 times a day and it slowly goes away, his eye was back to normal after 3 days of doing it. Good luck, those things are painful.
Hi Moms! My husband has a stye in right eye; which has caused severe swelling on the enture side of his face down to his mouth. He went to the doc on Friday and was preescribed meds. He still does not feel or look any better. Has anyone had any experience with this. We think he may have gotten something in his eye when doing yard work last week.
Any input is appreciated!! Thanks in advance

I had what I thought was a stye and maybe some pink eye. But then, the whole side of my face swelled up just like you are describing. My doctor told me it looked like a spider bite. She said it is actually a very common place for little tiny spiders to bite when you are sleeping. She told me to take benadryl for a couple days and it did help. It was gone within a week. Good luck!
Hi--Having had several nasty styes, I know this is unpleasant. One thing that helps is to take a clean white washcloth and soak it in as hot a water as can be stood. Fold it up and place over the eye until the cloth cools. This can be repeated several times a day. It will help to draw the infection to the surface and the medicine will be able to help. Even if it is a bite, or foreign object, this treatment can help make him feel better. Good luck! I agree, if it doesn't improve soon, he should be seen again by a dr.
if your wedding band is gold rub it on hes eye tear duct.
I have heard that clean urine can work. Look it up online.
Is it def a stye? I used to get them alot and I never experienced swelling down my face , just in my actual eye area , anyway a cold used tea bad placed on the eye for aout an hour can reduced the redness and swelling , I am from England so always used regular British tea bags , you can get them in supermarkets here , PG Tips for example , if you don't want to buy them just for this and he's not keen on putting pee on his eye!lol then try any type of tea bag and see if that does the trick. I would consider going back to the doctor though , a week seems like a long time for a stye to hang around.
I have read to rub it with a gold ring and had my sister do it to her little boy...she said it helped with the swelling? Give it a try and let me know if it worked for your hubby too.
Did you take him to an eye specialist? If not, you should get him to one immediately. How is his sight from that eye? The eye can be very sensitive. For the most part, a foreign object will exit the body on its own, but eyes can be so sensitive, a doctor should be watching it. My cousin lost his sight from a piece of metal going into his eye. I mean really lost it, he had to have a glass eye put in.
