Hi moms,
I'm expecting baby number 2 in Sept and am planning on buying a new stroller. I do not need a double stroller, I already have one of those. However, I never really liked my single stroller with my first, and wanted to get some recommendations. What did you buy and did you like it? I would like to hear opinions on running strollers and everyday strollers. Thanks. I would like to stay under $200.

What can I do next?

I LOVE my Maclaren Quest for everyday! I also have a BOB revolution which I love, you can take it basically everywhere, they are very pricy though, but I found mine both on craigslist in excellent condition!

I had a graco quatro Laura Ashley, loved it and still love it. I had a double stroller too before the baby came and realized I still need my single stroller for a while. Best stoller ever, and hasn't been recalled.

If you're looking for a single or a double -it comes in both -get the Maclaren Volo! They have them at Babies R Us. It's the best thing I've had for my kids! Durable, easy, lightweight and very easy to push. It's been through numerous flights and is still going strong 3 years later. I think they're around $90.

We have a MaClaren Triumph, any MaClaren will do. It is very sturdy and solid. We've had it for 2 1/2 years and will have it for many more to come. We paid over $100 for it.

My everyday stroller was around $250, it's the Peg Perego Si. I love it. It's super sturdy and folds up the size of an umbrella stroller. I mainly responded to let you know about my jogging stroller. I just got the Baby Trend Velocity. It runs about $170, but I was able to use my 20% off coupon at Babies R Us. I love it too. It is so smooth and my daughter loves how comfortable it is. I can hook my ipod to it and listen to music as I run without headphones, so I can be aware of my surrounding. The wheel is stationary for running, but can swivel for non-running activities. The only downside is that your child can't sit all the way up.

LOVE my Graco Metrolite. I researched a lot before buying and am very happy almost 2 1/2 years later. It is a full size stroller with a huge storage basket underneath. It also has cupholders and a snacktray for the little one. Not sure how far apart in age your 2 will be but I've also seen the sit and stand models that seem nice for an older child and infant.

If your budget is under $200, I strongly recommend Maclaren Quest which you should be able to get it around this price w/ coupons or discounts. Look into your local craiglist.org to see any new or pre-owned unit, try to get the 2008 and beyond as the 2008 model has carrying strap which is MOST HELPFUL when you travel w/ the baby and eventually todler and this can seat up to 55 Ibs. Now, if you are tall, 5'6" and above, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you pay $50 to $100 on top of your budget and get Maclaren XLR and this can seat up to 65 Ibs. I bought one early last year from Diapers.com but had to return because the stroller handle is TOO HIGH for someone like me who is 5'4" and my husband is 5'5", the XLR handles are JUST TOO HIGH for us to push the stroller. I wish that Maclaren has the XLR handles the same heights as the Quest and then made it extendable to those who are 5'6" and above. Also, the XLR model has a car seat adaptor bar that you can fit your car seat inside. The only disadvantage that I see in XLR to Quest is that XLR is indeed much heavier and some what bulkier than Quest but I think the versatility of this stroller wins over Quest and if you are 5'6" and above, don't see any problem handling this stroller but a little "overwhelming" in weight and size for those of us who are 5'5" and below. I finally settle for a QUEST and had not regret since. You can get a Quest in Ebay for $130 w/ free shiping. THIS IS A GOOD DEAL though the one they have is blue. So, if you are expecting a baby boy, grab that from that seller as I bought from that seller too and the stroller comes in PERFECT BRAND NEW IN BOX CONDITION!!!
Oops, I DO NOT WORK for Maclaren BUT w/ much research online when I was considering a GREAT STROLLER for my second baby, I found out that Maclaren FIT MY NEEDS BETTER ESPECIALLY if you want something to LAST, VERSATILE & GREAT LOOKING YET FOLDED IN UMBRELLA FASHION STROLLER! You will APPRECIATE this umbrela fold when you travel in plane or going to city like NYC, SFO or SEA where they used so much subway as means of transportation and not to mention about the ease of going to theme parks w. such lightweight yet durable and fully recline seat stroller.

We have a skeleton stroller - I don't think that is the real name, but that is what we call it. It is just the frame and you click the infant car seat right in. It is super light and has a nice big basket below. I LOVE IT!

My husband's cousin has a Chicco stroller. They are about $300 but that also comes with the baby carrier. I'm sure you can find one without for much cheaper. Chicco has super good customer service. The cousin had her stoller on her porch during a wind storm and the stoller fell over and broke the handle. She called up customer service just to inquire how much it would be to replace the handle. They told her they would ship out a new stoller for free!! I've never heard of such a guarentee on stollers especially since the stroller was over 2 years old. So you might want to look into a Chicco. I have a Graco and don't have any complaints but I think if I am ever in the market for a new stoller I'll go for a Chicco just because of their great customer service.

For a running stroller I actually use my bike trailer because it can turn into stroller. It is super easy to push. Good Luck!
