There is some stuff at the hardware store Home Depot, Lowe's, etc, that you can put on and wash of with a hose and it will take of the mold.
We like to store our strollers on the porch. Yesterday, I noticed that the umbrella stroller has some black mold/mildew on the chest pad and the jogger is growing green mold on the side that doesn't get much light. Gross! Has this happened to you? What did you do? Does anyone have suggestions for getting this stuff off? Please help.
Well, I think we are going to throw the chest pad out since I'm not sure if it is verbatim "black mold", but as it's up next to our son's face, why take the chance? We've decided to store the strollers in the (husband's precious!) garage. I think we'll try some oxyclean, and follow up with vinegar and water, and use the vodka for a nice celebratory drink after the whole mess is cleaned up-- Ha ha! Thanks for all the suggestions!

I say try wipes...depending on how thick it is... There are many made just for clening!

Vinegar and water, it is the miracle cleaner for sooo many things! Also used for hardwood floors, take hard water stains out, urine stink, just about everything. Good Luck and Take Care.

Maybe eveb try some diluted bleach. I clean off my patio furniture every year after they have been sitting outside the whole summer with bleach water and a scrub brush. It removes the mold etc. I'm not sure about the black mold, maybe listen to some of the other suggestions and through it out?? good luck.
I had a similar issue and used an Oxyclean solution and a sponge scrubbie which worked very well. We have decided we just have to keep the stroller indoors for the winter.
Okay, this might sound a little weird, but on Ellen yesterday someone was talking about getting rid of the mold smell on thinks and they suggested spraying them with vodka--apparently it kills the mold, gets rid of the smell and doesn't stain...although, I'm not sure how you feel about wasting perfectly good vodka!
Bleach water. Take a spray bottle (1 qt) and add about 2 tsp of bleach to the water in it. Spray the surfaces, use a scrub brush, spray some more, scrub some more until gone. Rinse with white vinegar water. Dry throughly. When you use your stroller, be sure to wipe in down with a bleach water wipe, dry completely and put away.
