I'm pregnant with our second girl who is due in May. Our daughter will be 3 by that time. We are looking to get a double stroller but I know our oldest wouldn't like to sit all the time, she loves to walk but I know she would get tired and need to sit eventually (trips to the zoo, long walks, etc.) which is why we are looking at a Sit and Stand option. I've really liked the Joovy Ultralight or the Baby Trend sit and stand. If any of you have one of these or any other sit and stand stroller please tell me why you have loved or hated it. We are looking at the two above because we aren't looking to spend a fortune. Thanks!

***edit: I currently tend another child full time (have for 2 years now) and have been making it work with a single since she isn't ours but I know we would get the use out of a stroller that can carry two but give the oldest the option to be more independent, hence the sit and stand questions. I'd really like to hear from moms who have used one of the above mentioned or a different brand of sit and strollers.

What can I do next?

I am so glad i did not buy a double stroller! Mine was 32 months when baby sister was born. She just grew of wanting to be in the stroller. If it was a long day in a theme park, we'd wear the baby and give her a rest in the stroller. Between a baby wearing device and one stroller we did just fine!

I agree with Jane on not buying a double. I did, and I hardly used it. My kids are 3 years 9 days apart. The double stroller was a pain, and I really used it so little.
I'd suggest wearing the baby, and using the stroller for the 3 year old as needed.
Or, you could also buy the double and then resell it when they outgrow it.

I just got this a few weeks ago for use with my 2.5 yr old and 9 month old. So far I am loving it, and I had a discount code when I bought it, so it was under $200.

I have 2 girls two and a half years apart. We did do quite a bit of a single stroller with a sling or front pack (mostly for bus rides, or shopping trips) but we also had a sit and stand stroller that we loved and used a ton. We are a one car family and do lots of walking. The sit and stand stroller was great for trips to the park, zoo and even Disneyland. My oldest daughter could stand and get in and out without help. She coulD also sit if she got very tired. It was a life saver when I went though the Denver airport with the 2 girls by myself. One nice thing was if our baby fell asleep in her infant carseat we could snap her in the stroller and she could finish her nap. When she would wake up she would be looking at her older sister and start giggling. The stroller is big, but it fits through doorways and aisles at stores. It folds pretty flat and the one we got had a sun shade for both seats and cup holders too. We got ours on sale at Babies R Us, but I have also seen them on Craigslist in good condition, if you want one, but don't think it would be worth paying full price. I hope this helps. We definitely got our money's worth out of ours.
