If it is his nails, feed him more cucumber - it's great for building strong nails and hair (selinium), as well as more bananas and sweet potato for the potassium.
I have a 3 yr old whose finger are stripping, mainly at the tips. He doesn't take long baths neither does he plays in water. Does anyone knows what could be the cause and how to deal with this. He also constantly want me to peel it off, he's very picky when it comes to think on his hands.

I think you should have it checked by the Pediatrician, it is probably nothing but it won't hurt to ask.
i dont know if i understand what you mean>, his nails are stripping? , or his skin?, he may need more calcium, but also magnesium and vitamin d to help absorb it.
I have hand exzema. My skin peels on my hand/fingers all the time. I use several kinds of lotions so my skin doesn't get used to just one. I also have a prescription from my dermatologist. They burn when I peel them down to the thin layer of skin. But the tough layer of skin is so thick I don't have feeling. It's so embarrassing and I pick at it all day. I try to wear rubber gloves when I do the dishes or load and unload the dishwasher. I wash my hands throughout the day a lot. Try to keep lotion on his hands as much as possible.
Could be he has dry skin, too cold air conditioning, weather can also contribute. Try putting on petroleum jelly (Vaseline) at night, when he's asleep- so he doen't try to clean it off. It will soften whatever peeling he has and at the same time protect his finger tips from drying out. You'll see results in a couple of days.
My grandaughter gets chapped lips and this is the best way to fight it. Good luck
It could be an allergic reaction, which is causing contact dermatitis. I know this used to happen to me whenever I used the yellow rubber gloves they sell in the stores' cleaning section to do house cleaning. My hands would start peeling within a few days of having worn the gloves, so I was allergic to some of the materials used in the inside of the gloves. I suggest taking him to a dermatologist if the peeling continues so they can determine what it is and what could be causing it; maybe a simple cream could fix this problem for good.
If he's a finger-sucker, that will cause the skin to peel. If you're talking about his nail area, it could be either a vitamin deficiency or he's doing typical "boy" stuff and playing in dirt/sand, etc. too much.
when i used to file a lot for work my fingers started to do this from the dust.
