I havent reached this stage yet since my little one is only 10 months old but i must say i loved the joke in there.
Need some help here - our daughter (almost 3) has been potty trained for a number of months & has very few actual accidents. Sometimes she will pee on the floor - on purpose! How can I tell you ask? Because she stands RIGHT IN FRONT of the toilet & pees on the floor - tonight her daddy saw her actually hike her leg up & do it. So, short of rubbing her nose in it & putting her outside (this is a JOKE...don't freak out) we aren't sure what to do. She does clean it up (as best as she can) but since she likes to clean that really isn't a discouragement.
Granted things have been in a bit of a transition stage for the last month or so - I understand her seeking attention & acting out - I'm just looking for a solution...any suggestions?
Thanks you guys! Sometimes I need a little perspective to see it's not as bad as I feel it is. In the last 2 months she has gained a sister and moved halfway across the country; add to that the fact that she does have an older brother & a dad who pee like boys (obviously) and a dog who pees like, well like a dog. Thankfully she isn't peeing on everything under the sun - including my head - and 97% of the time she does just fine - it's just the other 3% that seems to happen closely together. Gads - I'll just keep smiling, cleaning and toss her a Milk Bone every once in a while! ;-) haha

Just a thought... are you sure she's not trying to mimic boys going potty. When my daughter was that age (and in daycare) she used to try to pee like the boys (standing up). We just had to explain that girls can't go potty that way (several times)... sometimes they get strange thoughts :)
Do you by chance have a dog? She could have gotten the idea from it. Depending on how articulate she is, I would ask her. Then explain why we women do what we do how we do it. You might want to set up some other benefit system if she uses the potty correctly, if this is her acting out. It can even be simple...my daughter likes brushing her teeth to the extreme. Since she is only 21 months, I don't see the problem letting her brush them several times a day. Just an idea. Hope everything works out soon.
sounds like either trying to be a boy standing up or its an attention getting behavior. if life's routines have gotten mixed up for her, try to be consistent and also give her tons of positive attention for good things and play together and read with her. Try not to freak out when she pees, just say not to do it and calmly clean it b/c she could be enjoying the reaction out of you. Take a picture and enjoy the memories she is making for you :D
Be glad she doesnt have a weiner or she'd probably be marking lots of other territories.
Tell her "Hello, Mommy does not pee on the floor, Daddy does not pee on the floor, that is what the toilet is for"... Repeat if necessary, she'll come around. She's probably just amazed by it for some odd reason. Do you have animals? She might be copying them... or has she seen dad standing and peeing and maybe it's confused her some? Good luck with it tho, lol.
Besides rubbing her nose in it, and taking her outside, you can also squirt her with a water squirt bottle...then give her a Milk Bone when she does go in the potty. (hee hee!) :)
Have her checked for a bladder infection ... ask her doctor, she may want some attention.
Sorry but that is so funny! Kids are crazy I tell you. That's right up there with my 4 yr old niece pulling her pants down in the back yard to pee on the tree! I kid you not she did it while I am hollering "WHAT ARE YOU DOING??" in shock. My son was fascinated with peeing on trees when he was little too. I'm sure it's a phase.
I don't have any adice but I wanted to share what one of my nephews used to do. We called him pee boy....he would pee on the floor, he would pee on the wall, he would pee on the toilet (not even trying to make it in), he would pee on the portable heater, he would pee on all his toys.....and the funniest one....he would pee on his sleeping brothers head. I don't know what the solution is, but at least she's not peeing on your head! =)
