My H and I have been trying to conceive for about 4 months now. I have tracking my cycles, using ovulation tests and having sex according. This last time i thought for sure we had done everything right but My period came today! We have 3 children, my 1st 2 were oops, and my third took 18 months to get pregnant, I really do not want to wait that long again. Please any advice would be great, thanks.

So What Happened?

It shouldn't of have happened but It did, "WE'RE PREGNANT" talk about great timing, we are so excited and Due in February. This puts me at about 7 wks along. I am so glad I kept most of the large items and didn't yard sale them. Thanks to all those who gave encouragement when I was anxious.

oh I know this is so hard. It took us over a year to get pregnant with our son and the one thing that I learned is that you can do everything right but we can't just make ourselves get pregnant. All I got was very stressed out (which they say can make matters worse). It was when I stopped doing all the things that we finally got pregnant. I'm not saying you should stop doing the things that you are doing but just want to encourage you to relax and if they are stressing you out maybe take a break. Blessings, peace and patience to you...hang in there!

Stop try and do what comes naturally. Sometimes the added stress of trying can sometimes hurt! Good luck!

I used the ovulation kit and found that I ovulated on the 20th day of my cycle (not the 14th) and I conceived working with the later date, though my OB/GYN said that a later ovulated egg may not be viable. My next 2 were "oops, glad you're here!" babies, so I'm not sure what (other than the obvious) was done right.
Also, (sorry for the rather blunt suggestion) check and see if your lubrication-if you are using- has spermicide in it, which would interfere with conception.
And last, relax. Stress or anxiety will contribute greatly to your physiology and can keep you from not only conceiving, but enjoying the process ;)

As much as you don't want to wait, that might just be in the cards for you. Relax about it since stress can affect your cycle and enjoy the trying! Normally doctors say that if you don't get preggers within a year, then you can ask for assistance.

I don't have that much advice, but hopefully this will help a little bit.....Have fun with the trying, and if all is well it will happen soon. After months of tracking my cycles, I finally started to relax, and just be more spontanous and have fun with it, it finally happened. Good luck!

I know this might sound odd, since you have already successfully concieved a few times. But this is something that help a friend of mine. Read the whole response before deciding to take my advice. I read the book How to chose the sex of your baby. My husband and I wanted to try for a boy. At the same time my friend was trying to conceive baby #2. She swore that she was doing everything needed (trying for 4 months, almost 1 year with her first), but a lot of what she was telling me didnt follow the "book". When I conceived on the first try, she decided to read the book, skipping the boy/girl sections. She read the book and conceived on the first try after. My advice to you would be to get a book on conceiving and read up...we think we are supposed to inherently know everything about reproduction, but would be suprised to find out we dont. BTW: we did have a beautiful baby boy!

OMG!!! You sound just like me but here is the bad news it has been going on 4 years now for me we have been check everything seems to be working fine... :) But I guess only the man upstairs knows when it is time. I get so depressed everytime my tiem of the month comes. :( I have a 12,8,and going to be 6 year old I planned all of them and this time none of the planning has worked out for us. I dint know what advice to give you but I just thought I'd let you know that you are not the only one out there going through this... GOOD LUCK keep trying.
