Sticker Washed on Jacket

HELP!
I washed my sons fleece jacket with a sticker on the back of it. It has been through both washer and dryer, and there is the sticky residue (rectangle) stuck on the back. How do I get that off? The jacket is a medium blue. Will goo-gone work? I am worried about leaving a greasy rectangle in place of the sticky one.
Thanks for your ideas.

What can I do next?

take some tape or duct tape and use the sticky side to help pull the sticky stuff off. It may take some time, but it works

Watch out with nail polish remover...as it sits it strips color also.

This has happened to me several times. I take a cotton swab and dip it in mineral spirits. The mineral spirits take the residue right off and doesn't hurt the fabric. This works well on stickers, tape, etc that have been left on furniture as well.

Try just a bit of fingernail polish remover on a cloth. Dab it and rub on the sticky spot to desolve the gluy stuff. It's worked for me in the past. And if it for some reason doesn't,, then just go buy a cute patch of some sort and sew it over the spot. Maybe get a few patches and make it look like you bought the jacket that way. He will be the envy of all his buddys,,lol (o:

I have a similar problem and using the search on this site, I saw one of the sugegstions was freezing it and then peeling it off the residue. My daughters tunic is in the freezer as I type - I will update later and let you know how it works.

I'd try the goo-gone. A grease stain is easier to remove than the sticker. I washed my grandson's t-shirt with his name sticker still on the back. It went thru the dryer too. I never got it off. I didn't think to try the goo-gone stuff.

For a grease stain, spray it with a prewash spray, soaking it good.

I've tried Goo-Gone on a lot of things and I've been pleased with the way it works. I admit I've never tried fleece. You might stop in at a dry cleaner and ask if there's a home method for removal.
