Contemplating getting a steam mom to make it easier to clean our kitchen ceramic tile vs. dragging out the mop every day. Are they worth it? Thanks so much!

I don't have one myself, but I'm considering it. They had the Shark steam mop on Deal or Dud on Channel 4 (Fox) a while back and said it was a deal. They had a real mom test it and it looked like it worked great!! It has a pad on the bottom (not sure if it's disposable or washable) so you are not spreading your old dirt back down. they have it at Target for about $80.

Hi K.,

I ordered the Lysol Steam Mop from Linen's & Things and love it! It was $29.99 and I had a 20% off flyer. This mop uses water and about a teaspoon of Lysol (it comes with a bottle). You have to wait about 2 minutes once you turn it on-once you hear the steam...start mopping. I have a 14 month old and liked the fact that it kills germs and allergines. I use it on my tile, vinyl, and wood floors.

As a housekeeper myself I say yes. They do not leave streaks on flat tiles such as ceramic and since I am anal retentive when do other peoples houses that is awesome!!! I hope you enjoy it.

I'm glad you asked this question!

I am thinking of getting one when we move this summer! My new house will be all tile and wood on the bottom floor except for the master bedroom and study.

I will not be breaking my back with my dinosaur mop! lol

Tina, if you buy the Shark, let us know how it works! I saw the same deal or dud, but not sure I'm ready for fork out $80 for it just yet.
