I will be leaving on a trip in the Pacific in a couple of weeks and I was wanting to get some color on my skin with something like a spray tan. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go to in the area, some place not very expensive and that won't turn you orange?

What can I do next?

Ive always gone to tanning salons to get them. In Texas we have Palm Beach Tan and Planet tan. They both have the mystic spray on tans and they work good. I have always gotten the super plus bc I like to see a real difference but their reg would work if you didn't want anything major.

Exfoliate a TON B4 you go wherever. One of my bridesmaids went before our wedding and was still orange, especially on the palms of hands, knees, and elbows. EEK!

I've gone to LA Tan several times for their Mystic Tan. They have one day during the week where the spray tan is less expensive, I believe. At one of the locations, I get a lighter coat they offer so it doesn't dry splotchy or orange. I think they call it a clear coat? But not all of the locations have it.

I have also gone to LA Tan for mine in the past. My only suggestion...Make sure you LOAD up the lotion between your fingers, toes, elbows, knees. I don't think I put enough lotion the first time I went, and that was my only negative reaction! I definitely didn't look orange afterwards. It is usually noticeable for me a few hours later.

If you want a good even looking tan, go to a place where an actual person sprays the tanner on you. You can tell them exactly how dark you want to go, and they'll make sure you don't end up with weird streaks running down your legs, ankles, etc.....I don't live in Naperville, but do a google search, something is bound to come up!

Try Healthy Inspirations in Schaumburg at ###-###-####. Ask for Tina or Emily - tell them that M. H. recommended them.

I don't know of anyplace specific in your area, but anywhere that uses "Mystic Tan" is usually pretty good.

I have gone to LA Tan for a few years now for the Mystic Tan. I recently tried Eternal Tan and the quality of the tan was slightly better. I have never had a problem looking orange afterwards. You should exfoliate prior to tanning especially knees, elbows and any other dry areas.Be sure to put plenty of the barrier cream provided by the salons on your palms, between your fingers and toes. I usually go twice before a vacation to get a really good looking tan. I am blond, fair and don't tan in the sun at all.
Good luck.
