Usually, you have to wash and dry in the dryer before wearing. The high heat of the dryer helps the pAint to set. Google the brand of fabric paint and follow the directions though, so your designs arent ruined. Here are some general directions from the Michaels website ... Looks like Tulip brand paints don't require heat setting, but do need 72 hours to cure before washing ...
