All 3 of my boys started spitting up around 6 weeks, and it usually last until about 4 months. There was nothing wrong with any of them, they just liked to make mommy do lots of laundry! lol
Good Luck, and congrats on your new little one!
Hi moms
My little one is 8wks now and for the last 2wks he has been spitting up after i nurse him.....How normal is this? Only three of those times was it a good amount(like a tbls) all other times its a small amount but its everytime....ive tried to give him a break in between sides. instead of going 10min straight on one side i break him at 3-4min and latch him back on, but he still spits up????
is this normal ???

M.:
generally spitting up is a laundry issues only.
let him set the pace/ let him decide how long at each breast.

My little guy started spitting up at 7 weeks and finally stopped at 9 months... It's completly normal. Some people told me it was acid reflux and I should get him on medication but I didn't want to medicate him. My doctor told me that as long as he was gaining weight (which he was) and was a happy baby I shouldn't worry about it too much. So I just kept doing a lot of laundry and it finally went away ;-) Good Luck-A.
Ask your ped. about reflux. My daughter did this for 9 months!!
M.,
I can relate to this one. My youngest one spit up after each feeding for the first 6 months of his life. My diaper bag was more like a duffel bag because I had to have so many outfit changes. You can rest assured as each of the other responses have said. As long as there is weight gain he should be fine. But....the issue. The doctor informed me that his little tummy is only so big. When it gets filled the door closes and anything else that goes in ... comes right back up. So depending on how vigorously he is suckling will determine how much milk he is getting.
I hope this helps.
