Use oxiclean....it works wonders. There is even a dye/perfume free kind (that's what I use) or try the baby formula...I think it has a pink lid. Anyway, I use a scoop of it in every load of my son's clothes. When his baby clothes had stains that came back (prior to when I started using oxiclean in the wash) or odors I did the oxiclean "bath". Put all the problem clothes in the sink or tub, add super hot water and oxiclean...stir it around every few hours. After 24 hours, drain and repeat. Then wash. It took out old stains and odors from breast milk and formula. Hope that helps.

With a specific pair of my son's pajamas, no matter how many times I washed them, they still smelled like urine. Finally, I tried to generously spray it with Febreze and let it dry and then washed it and the smell was gone. You could try that???

Oxyclean does help with the stains, but make sure you put it in right away and mix it with the water before you put the clothes in. I put it in late a couple times and had problems- not with the whole load, but probably whatever it landed on. It does work well, though.

I have read on here before to add a little viniger (tablespoon maybe) to the wash and it will help to eat any odors right out of the clothing/towels.
