Is there a reason you want to cover it up? I say, wear it proudly! LOL!

My kids and I were horsing around and my four year old tried to jump over my head and instead kneed me on the eyebrow. I have QUITE the shiner. It looks like I've been punched in the face or walked into a truck.
I'm four days in and there isn't swelling anymore, but my eyelid is a deep purple-yellow now.
Concealer worked for the first few days but now it shows through. Any ideas for covering it up properly?

Pirate eye patch...sorry I couldn't avoid it.
I say don't worry cover it and just laugh at the mean looks your husband could get when you are out together, that gets to show that we never knows what really happens inside somebody else home, lol.
Don't bother covering it. Your kiddo kneed you in the noggin. Take pictures. Laugh about it in a few years. ;-)
Leave it uncovered. No big deal, it happens to all of us at least once! Just make sure no one blames Hubby. ^_^
Try getting yellow or green concealer, then using your normal skin tone; it will help even it out (weird, I know, but it works). I like Physicians Formula :)
Hope you feel better soon, I've had my fair share of child-induced bumps and bruises!!
are you using YELLOW or Salmon color concealer? For dark purple, browns (shiner colors) you need YELLOW concealer and for the blue/red areas Salmon color. You could also look up on YouTube for a tutorial on covering up a black eye - I am sure it's on there. One morning I went to work with a shiner too -- kiddo kicked me in the eye while I was getting out of bed, it was fresh so it was swollen and everything!
Arnicare!!!! Arnica Gel (any brand) helps bruises heal faster and clear up. I use it all the time for my kiddo who is learning to walk and always getting bumps and bruises. I use it immediately after an owie and a couple times more in the next 36 hours and the bruise goes from start to finish in that time barely noticed.
