Hello Moms. I have a 4 year old who is very active. He is involved in Stretch-n-Grow at daycare, but we think it's time for a sports activity. Any suggestions on where to get information for soccer or t-ball?

Thanks!

We've done soccer through the Denton Soccer Association & "blast ball" through the Lake Cities Baseball Association. Both are really fun. The problem is that they only have Spring & Fall seasons -- nothing for the summer. Denton Parks & Rec's summer catalogue is currently out with their summer schedule and they always have fun things. The Little Gym in Denton is also having their "triple reward" sign up for summer this week. It's $40 to enroll and then $179 for 11 weeks of classes. Good luck finding something!

Soccer is huge in Denton. However, the season is just about over. Suggest registering in the summer for the fall. Baseball season is almost over as well. Not so big in Denton. You can sign up for Denton Rec activities for the summer. However, would suggest swimming lessons for the summer and then register for the fall soccer season. I have a four year old that just finished playing and he loved it.

Northlakes park has a magazine with sports activities for children and adults(it came in the mail one day). Unfortunately, I think it is passed registration for this sport. I was looking for my 5 year old. Double check to make sure, I think there is also a website.

Hi!
I live in Lake Dallas and have a 4yr old daughter that we are planning on putting in soccer in August with Lake Cities Soccer Association. Her 4th bday is actually in July so she was not able to sign up for the spring season.

After reading your question I was a little curious about the tball because my daughter is extremely active as well. We have tried dance but it's just not busy enough for her that's why we decided on soccer. Anway, I did a little research on the cityofdenton.com and her is what I found.. Pretty cool! Good luck. =)

I am in the same boat. My daughter has taken dance for the past year and we want her to try a group sport to see how she likes it. We are signing her up for soccer and Blast Ball (which is pretty much T-Ball) this summer at the Denton Rec Center. The classes are really reasonable especially since we are just wanting to sample them and see what she thinks. Hope this helps.
