Hi,
Many of you responded to Holly's question about a front load washer vs a top load. I also love my front loading washer, but haven't been able to soak clothes in it. Anyone able to do that with a front loader?
Thanks.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks ladies. I think I'll have to stick to soaking in a bin... I have the smaller maytag stackable front load (I forget the name) but there's no pre soak option. Oh well. Thanks for your responses!

When I had a front loader, I just turned off the machine and let it soak that way.

I had one of the first Maytag Neptunes and mold developed in the front of it in the rubber seal by the door. They came and drilled holes in there, but then I had other problems. So I no longer have a front loader.

My Whirlpool duet has a presoak cycle and a soak cycle, so you can just soak or you can presoak before your selected wash or you can just soak and then select a wash cycle later. I use it for my cloth diapers or other things that need extra care and attention. It works great!

My front loading washer (Maytag Neptune) has a presoak feature that soaks the clothes for about 20 minutes or so before beginning the wash cycle.

Hi I.,
I have a presoak setting on my Maytag Neptune that I have used with some really nasty loads of my daughter's things. It works pretty well, but I don't know how to just soak them. Good luck!

Hi I. -
My frigidaire front load has a soaking option on the dial. Or worse comes to worse, soak your clothes in a bin for as long as you need to, then wash in machine.
Good luck!

I usually let the washer fill up and then just push in the dial to flip it off (mine is a very basic front-loader). When I think it's done soaking I just pull the dial back out and it starts up again.
