Snoring - Cypress,TX

I have been snoring since my last pregnancy (10 years ago). It is so bad that because my husband is such a light sleeper, I end up sleeping in another bedroom. I tried those strips that go over your nose; they don't work! I've been thinking about seeking medical attention. Has any other mom experienced this problem? If so, how did you handle it?

What can I do next?

Hi A., by all means am I not a doctor or expert in the snoring field. But this is something I read somewhere about uses for olive oil, and I emailed this to somebody so I want to copy/paste it here for you. For what it's worth...I hope it helps...
"Stop Snoring. Take a sip of olive oil before heading to bed. It might lubricate your throat muscles, and stop yourself, or your partner, from snoring."

A.,

I know where you are coming from. I have been having the same problem since I was pregnant with my first child 11 years ago. I have talked to the doctor about it. First, he told me to lose the extra weight I have held on to because it can put extra weight on your throat and I never snored before I gained the weight. Needless to say, I am still working out to lose the weight. Then if that doesn't work, he wants me to go to an ENT to have my adenoids removed. This cured both of my children from snoring, so you may want to talk to your doctor about a referral to an ENT.

Good Luck!

hi,

have you been to a sleep clinic? i don't snore, but my husband is like a bear! turns out he has sleep apnea, and now he sleeps with this machine attatched to hime at night (very romantic, i call it his breathing hose!) but, no more snoring. the sleep clinic involves you spending a night at the clinic, so you have to have support from your hubby for this. insurance covers this too, so if you have insurance, it will help you. we did the sleep clinic thing-y in austin, now live in houston, but houston is known for excellent care in so many fields. another idea... i have been seeing a chiropractor for some sleep related issues, and both of my kids have gone too, my son for asthma and my daughter (we found the chiropractor during a time when the initial exam was free for kiddos), anywya, she has some major twists and turns in her spine, and if you get these things under control through a holistic approach (also covered by insurance), wow, what a difference. if you want info about any of this, email me and i can tell you more. it is legit, and really makes a positive change in health!

Okay A.,
first thing on Monday, call my dental office Dr. Thomas Lomonte
at ###-###-#### we make snore guards for patients. We have made over 200 in the past 3months. We are bringing families back togheter. All patients that have purchased one swear by it. they don't snore anymore. It's amazing how it works. Just call us and we can give you more details. Tell them A. told you to call. Kim will take care of you. It is $350 and insurance usually doesn't cover it. it's a small price if you want to stop snoring though.
