Smooth Away Hair Removal Pads

I asked this last November but never got any responses, so I thought I'd try it again! I am just wondering if any of you Moms have used the Smooth Away hair removal pads and, if so, do they really work? Are they worth the money? I'm sooooo tired of shaving and I'm looking for a relatively painless alternative to waxing. Thanks in advance!!!

What can I do next?

I used them once, but they dried out my skin too much!

Hi L.,

I just tried the Smooth Away pads last week. Don't waste your money! I tried them on my bikini and underarm areas. If you don't rub hard enough, then the hair is still there. If you rub hard enough to remove the hair, then you are left with a "rug-burn" type feeling. After I did my underarms and then applied deodorant - YIKES! The alcohol from the deodorant burned so much that my eyes teared up. A day after I tried it, my bikini area had more "bumps" on it than when I shave. After all of that, I didn't even try my legs. I threw it in the garbage. Good luck!

I just bought the Mitten thing...it's sort of like fine grit sandpaper...LOL...but it does actually work. It takes a little bit of time, so you are not saving any time, but if you absolutely hate shaving then it's an alternative. I was skeptical...I've only tried it on my legs and it worked.

Yes I have, but only cause it came in the mail a few years ago. It's just fine sandpaper! I've tried waxing, but it made my legs bumpy,& blotchy. I guess my skin was to sensitive, and am happy to be shaving ever since.
Good luck finding your happy answer to smooth legs. A. H

Hmmm, personally I am not in favor of anything that rips my hair out from the roots. I have never understood waxing. LOL I guess I'll stick with old fashioned shaving...but only if I have to! Sorry I'm not much help, am I?
