Hi C.!

At one, he should sleep for 3 hours, atleast, between the hours of 11am and 2:30pm. Do not let him sleep past 2:30pm.
He should go to bed by 7pm and stay asleep all night. If he waking up during the night, keep him up earlier in the day, like 1pm. After that, he will sleep good.

Well we just came from our 15 month check up and they should be getting 12-14 hours per day. This would include night time sleeping and naps.

About 12-14 hours a day sounds right. For nightime, about 11-12 hours, with the remaining time made up from nap(s).

But every child is different . . . these are just generalizations. Some kids can function on less, some could require more. My 16 month old sleeps from 8:30 p.m. to about 8:00 a.m., then naps for a couple of hours starting around 12:30/1:00 p.m. But there are times she naps for 3 hours, and other times she only naps for 1 1/2 hours. And it seems no matter what her nap schedule, she still always goes down at 8:30 p.m.

My daughter will be 1 at the end of this month. She sleeps 12 hours at night and about 2-3 hours during the day (naps).
