I wouldn't think you would need any type of cleanser including soap for a child age 4... Plain water and a clean wash cloth are idea for the babies delicate skin.....
Hi...I need some feedback on what is a good skincare line to use on my 4 year old. I am looking for a facial cleanser, mosturizer, and shampoo. I feel so bad using good skincare products on myself and using soap and water on his face, which i know is not good. Thanks Ladies, A.

My son just turned 7 and I have never used anything on his face for cleansing--just water. I do use Aveeno Baby moisturizer on his face & body and Dove body wash or Dove soap in the tub/shower.
Soapourri products are very gentle, come in fun shapes for kids, and smell delicious! They are the only products we have found to keep my granddaughter's eczema under control. Her skin is completely clear!
They have a lot to offer adults as well!
Look for an add here on Mamapedia or go to: http://www.soapourri.com/index.html
My pediatrician recommend Dove sensitive skin, Aveeno, or Cerave. I prefer Dove and Aveeno (the Cerave doesn't lather). The Aveeno baby wash is great because you can use it for shampoo too.
I like using Aveeno or Dove Sensitive Soap on my little ones. And I use Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion For All Skin Types.

P.S. Don't forget to use sunscreen.
Shaklee has a great line for babies and its all natural, soap free, and extra gentle on their skin. You can visit www.new-beginnings.myshaklee.com to find out more. Just go into the shop section and then under the nutrition heading choose children's nutrition.
Hope this helps.
Soap and water is just fine for your 4yr olds face. Take care of it now with sun screen when he is outside, make sure he eats balanced meals with plenty of fruits and veggies and there won't be a need to add extra stuff to his face now or when he is older. And don't forget plenty of water. If our parents would have known how to teach us to fill our bodies with good things and take care of our skin by using sun screen, we probably wouldn't need all the products out on the market today!!

I hear you and way to go! I have friends who never give it a thought and if you try and suggest they may want to think about it...well...it doesn't always go over so well. I use good products on my skin and insist on it for my teen and tween girls. As for my little guys...I use Shaklee Kids Gentle Wash. They wash the whole body with it and shampo the head. They love it, it doesn't sting, and I love the way they smell and to know I have not done anything to harm my little men. My 4,6, and 8 year olds all use it. I use the lotion as well as needed. THis product has only been out for a year or so but I used the older version of the product before that and have for 23 years(which is how old my oldest child is). I have trusted this for a long time and will use on my grandbabies when the time comes. Yes I have a lot and have them spread out. I have a side business selling Shaklee products that keeps me home so if you are interested I have a web site you can look at or contact me if you like. www.takecontrol.myshaklee.com
All the Shaklee products are money back if you are not satisfied.
To your health!

Aveeno products are good and very gentle. My 9 year old son has been using Aveeno Itch Relief lotion for years for his super dry skin. Most child products are good as well. I like to stay away from perfumed products...
