Sippy Cup That Doesn't Leak

Hi Ladies, My son turned one almost a month ago and he is no longer using bottles for his milk. We have only used the Born Free bottles and sippy cups (for water) and haven't had a problem. But now that we are drinking milk out of them, I notice how much the sippy cups leak. And sometimes he likes to shake the cup while in the highchair because the milk sprays out of it. I have to hand him his sippy cup each time he needs to drink from it or else I end up with milk EVERYWHERE! And after he drops it, it will leak and leave a puddle of milk on the floor. I'm wasting the milk and not sure how much he drinks and how much ends up spilled. Does anyone know of a good sippy cup that doesn't leak and that is free of BPA?
Thank you!

HEB has cups that come 5 to a package with 5 lids. They are plastic, in different colors. I have not idea about the BPA stuff, but they don't leak, they are cheap, don't have any parts, nor do they melt in the dishwasher. Plus I don't have milk or water all over my house!

The Playtex Coolsters never leak and the valves are easy to remove and clean. I am not sure if they are BPA free since they are plastic. Isn't the concern with BPA when it is a heated drink? I have only given cold drinks in sippy cups by that age, so I am not sure.

I just went thru this.

I read several reviews on target and babies r us. The best reviews were on the Gerber sippy cups.

I bought a set. So far so good. They are the best yet.

My daughter shakes and throws it and nothing.

If your son is able to drink out of it (it doesn't really have a spout and might be for older kids), the Playtex Coolster Tumblers are the ONLY sippy cup I have ever found that doesn't leak. I have a 3 year old and a 9 month old and I have been through just about every kind of cup imaginable. My son (the 9 month old) has tried to drink out of this cup and I actually think he could figure it out (although I don't give him juice and that's usually what is in his sister's cup when he tries to drink it), so I am going to get one for him and if he can drink from it, I'm ditching all of the others. He is also off of the bottle, but I have him on a transitional cup with the soft spouts right now. Those leak a ton too. Good luck! I hope you find something you can use.

Hi J.-

My 16 month old uses Playtex Sipsters and we don't have any problem with leaks. He loves to shake the cup and throw it down every chance he gets so they have been through a lot with him.

Good Luck,
K.

Hello,

Like the other mom, my daughter has 2 playtex sippy cups (insulator, spill proof) and BPA free. Now, she is 26 m.o so she is more careful, but before, she was pretty rough with them and we never got a leak.

Good luck.

Bye
Karen

not really. most of them seem to leak a little, especially when shaken.

I use the Klean Kanteen 12 oz stainless steel bottle, with the sippy adaptor. For us, that does not leak. However, it doesn't have handles on the sides and some people want that for their babies. My daughter has always preferred no handles, so it's great for her. It doesn't seem to leak as much as others (in fact, when it leaks it's usually because my husband over-tightens the lid or I under-tighten it!).

I 100% agree with the other moms that used the platex sippys. They just don't leak. And they're the best value. The plastic is very durable, and you can buy replacement parts for them.

Another vote for the playtex cups. They are now BPA AND Pthalate free according to the packaging.

They are the best ones I have found.
