Just curious if anyone else ever experienced this issue-we started with Similac w Iron-he could not tolerate the powder-he vomited-so we used the ready to feed. We had to switch to Similac Alimentum due to protein sensitivity. So we started with the ready to feed and he was fine-then we tried the powder again and he got super gassy and miserable. Anyone ever experience problems with powder vs the liquid?

What can I do next?

I have not used formula for my kids, but I know from preparing bottles in the daycare I worked at in college that when you make one bottle at a time with powder it can be very bubbly from all the shaking. I have not investigated this but I cannot imagine the liquid is any different than the powder in terms of content, so I can only assume it has to do with preparation differences. Have you tried making several bottles worth in a pitcher and storing in the fridge until feeding time, then stirring GENTLY, and then warming only the amount needed. Formula is expensive enough, then add specialty formula prices on top of that, I would do everything possible to avoid the further price increases of using the liquid. In addition to making a large batch ahead of time maybe try preparing a little cooler or a little warmer. Burp frequently. Do gas drops help? Keep upright and off tummy after feedings.
Hope you find a solution that doesn't put you in the poor house.

Never a problem. If you use powder make enough for several bottle n refrigerate. Ig you do one at a time, formula does not have time to settle.

Yes, my daughter used to have a problem with the powder vs the ready to feed (soy version). I realized that if I stirred the mixture with a knife or fork instead of shaking the bottle to mix that it created less bubbles.

The iron is usually what is hard on little tummies! Not sure you can get it w/o the iron anymore. I used the concentrated liquid for my kids - and also switched my grandbaby to it after watching her and seeing things that weren't right with her little system... The liquid helped her in just a weekend.
