Side Dish for BBQ

Hubby and I are struggling to come up with a good side for our BBQ this weekend. We are serving Koren Style Ribs, Chicken and Baby back ribs, and then I was going to make a fruit salad and a Southwest black bean salad. I probably need two more sides. We had thought about doing corn, but corn is in the Southwest salad.

An Asian chopped salad and a Cesar salad?

What can I do next?

I'd go with a veggie salad and a starchy salad, so either potato salad or pasta salad. Potato salad seems to get better the next day, so you could make it the night before and be done with it. Otherwise, a prepared spring greens salad sounds good and fresh. Can I come over?

I have so many yummy sides that are great for cook outs! Snicker Salad (yes, it's as good as it sounds...snickers, apples, pudding, cool whip!) and I have a chicken/bacon salad that is ALWAYS a hit. There is also a "greek salsa" that is so full of veggies and o, so good, I have eaten it as a meal. And there are picnic beans (more than just traditional baked beans...again, can be eaten as a meal they are so good!)

And all the yummies that others have mentioned, too! LMK if you want any recipes for anything I listed! Have fun at your bbq!

How about an Asian peapod and cabbage salad? There are several recipes available online, and it seems like it would fit with meat as well as adding some veggies to the table. Corn on the cob is another option--it will taste totally different from the Southwestern salad, and you don't have to chop anything.

Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Pasta Salad...

Each of these have so many variations, if you go on allrecipes.com or similar you can find on that suit your taste.

For me I make a simple cole slaw - shredded cabbage and carrots, add mayo, vinegar and sugar (to taste for all) and let sit for 24 hours stiring every once in awhile.

And for pasta salad, allrecipes has a broccoli tortellini salad that is amazing. Every one I have made it for loves it...

I really like the cabbage and ramen salad, I often make it with chicken but it is just as good without since you are having so much other meat. I like this recipe.

I would recommend some type of green veggie.

If there's room on the grill, you can grill some zuchinni or asparagras.

A garden salad always works.

Pasta salad. Since you're going with Korean style, mabe some type of asian noodle salad.

Coleslaw, or other type of slaw.
