I have the Peg Aria which is side by side and I love it. Its very light and it is so easy to push around - even with my 40 pound 4 year old in it! Good luck.
Hi Mommies,
I have been researching double strollers - it has been the most research I have done on anything, and I still cannot decide. I have a side by side Jeep stroller, it works but I really want a higher-end stroller. I use the stroller A LOT. I have three children, but I use the stroller for my 3 year old and my 18 month old. I carry the newborn in a sling. I thought I had it down to the the Zooper Tango Twin and the Baby Planet Unity Twin, but I am second guessing myself. Can you please offer me your opinions? Some of the things that are important to me are; 1. width of stroller 2. Handlebar and ease of pushing 3. weight. I would also like it to be cute, but that is further down the list. I do not use it outdoors often, so I do not need huge sunshades and I do not want a jogging stroller. Please help!!

I looked at double strollers for months. I finally decided on the Combi Twin Savvy for these reasons - 1. I loved how easy it was to push 2. It was lightweight 3. It tri-folded VERY easily and was very compact in my trunk. I know it is not a high end stroller, but I love it. I "test drove" EVERY stroller out there and this one was my favorite! Good luck!
I spent some time looking. Our budget wasn't quite "high end" but I did wind up getting a more expensive one. We got the Maclaren Twin. Its dark brown, very stylish. My diaper bag is also dark brown. It collapses easily and is fairly lightweight. It will last until toddlerhood for sure. I started using it as soon as we brought the boys home when they were 6-7 pounds. I use it almost every day.
Our jogg stroller is a Safari Twin by instep thhat I actually got off craigslist in very good shape. I use it every morning for our walk. Totally worth the extra research.
If you are interested, I have a used Zooper I'd be willing to sell. My twins are now 5 years old, so it's just sitting in the garage...
We loved this stroller. One of the main reasons we bought it is the adjustable height of the handlebars. I'm pretty short and my husband is tall. Strollers that were comfortable for me to push hurt his back.
Both seats recline all the way so we were able to put newborns in it with no problem, the seats also reline individually so once they got older if one wanted to nap and the other did not, it wasn't a problem.
It came with all the accessories, rain guard, wind guard, etc.
I was very sad when they would no longer ride in the stroller and wanted to walk.
I know some have said that the side by side won't fit in stores, but this Zooper is the same width of a wheelchair and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that stores maintain at least enough clearance for a wheelchair to get through. I never had too many problems.
anyway, if you are interested, just click on my name up there and send me a message. I'll talk to the hubby to decided how much we want for it.
I too am in the market...I have heard from a runner that she HATED her Zooper...but if you aren't running with it, may not be a big deal. I think we are going with the Peg Aria 60/40 side by side. I have the singe onehand, it is SOOO easy. Hoping the double is as good. However, mine will be a newborn and 18 months in December...otherwise, if my 1st was older i would certainly do the sit and stand! It just LOOKS way easier.
Good luck, would love to know what you end up with and think!!!

The Joovey Ultra-light sit and stand is great. We got it for our 4 year old and 19 month old and it has been the best purchase we have made in awhile. It has fun cool colors and they love it. My 4 year old can either stand in the back or sit on the seat and buckle up. They are pretty hard to find...we had to buy the floor model because they were so back ordered. We get so many comments from mom's when we are out and about. You should check it out....www.Joovy.com!! Good luck.
I agree with Erin on the Aria Twin by Peg Perego...very lightweight, easy to open and close, and the seats recline so little ones can nap. I got mine before my twins were born, and they are five tomorrow...still holding up! We don't use it nearly as much now as we used to, but it's gotten a workout. The only thing I didn't like was that it didn't have a cup holder (for me), and I never could find an attachment that worked. But otherwise it has been great. The newer models might have that cup holder--I don't know. It never has been too wide to get through anyplace we wanted to go...I'd buy it again!
Oh, and we did have one little problem with one of the sun shades, I called customer service and they were great -- sent out a new one right away and no problems since.
Have you considered a Sit -n- Stand stroller? I have an almost 4 year old and a 17 mos. old. My cousin told me to get a S&S stroller and it works great. I don't have to lift my oldest up to get in, he just sits or stands in the back and he loves watching over his little brother. it is narrow and pretty easy to manuver. The only downfall is the seat for the younger child is not very comfortable if they fall asleep. Just a thought!
Hi, I have had the combi twin savy side by side for 3 years now and I LOVE it. I tried several other types including the step ride on stroller thing and the combi for me is the best.

I love my Maclaren double - I bought it several years ago, so I don't remember the style. We even took it to Disney - which is a major beating on a stroller and it still works great. I had a front/back and hated it - it was much harder to push and manuever than the side to side. Good luck - I've been there too!
C.,
I have the Combi side by side stroller and I LOVE it! It is under 20lbs. and I can steer it with one hand if needed. The width is just enough to sqeeze through a doorway. Both seats recline individually. And it's easy to fold up and set up. Only downfall is the storage space in the lower baskets, but they have so many things you can add on to them now. Good luck!
Warm Regards,
C. E.
I love my "Sit and Stand." The platform is perfect for the three year old because he can stand, sit, or get in and out. The only downside is the front seat does not recline. I bought mine at www.strollerdepot.com
It delivered in less than a week and the site has videos of all the stollers to show size and how they open and close.
C.,
I have a 1 year old and 3 year old. When the baby was born I researched strollers and looked for months to find the right one for me. I finally bought the Joovy Caboose, It is a sit and stand and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! My three year old would not have stayed in a side by side but with the sit and stand she feels BIG and can sit OR Stand. Check it out at Lonestar baby and children Just Goggle it I am not sure of the exact web address. Or Look Up the Joovy website. They also come in really Cool colors. I got the Orange and Black one. I think I paid @ 150.00 for it not to bad in the stroller price range. I would have paid much more! Hope this helps. Good Luck, S.
C., I got the Zooper for my twins and I would recommend it. It is heavy, but I don't mind that even thought I am petite. I think of it as extra exercise taking it in and out of the minivan and pushing it around. It fits through standard doorways, so that is convenient. It is very sturdy and seems quite comfortable for the kids. I also like the sun/rain shades.
If you want something lightweight, this is not the stroller for you.
Hi C.! I, too, did about two months worth of research before I purchased my last stroller. I have used both side by side and the tandem (front and back). Just like you, I had three kids in three years. :) The side by side is often too wide and doesn't fit in stores, so keep that in mind. I also had a quad stroller, which isn't good as the kids get older and heavier. The tandem workded well, but mine was kind of hard to turn.
So, when it came time to purchased another stroller last year when baby #4 came, I wanted a sit and stand. I took advice from a good friend of mine who had one, to make sure the sun shade would cover the child in the back, and that the front seat reclines enough to accommodate a sleeping child comfortably. I got a Joovy Caboose Ultralight sit and stand from www.strollerdepot.com, and I LOVE IT!! It's very lightweight and easy to use. I get compliments every where I go. It has even held two in the back and one in the front a time or too. I liked that I got a rain cover and the parent organizer included in the purchase price. The organizer isn't included every where, so make sure to check that before you buy. I hope this helps your efforts. Good Luck!
The peg perego aria twin is awesome. It's super lightweight, fits through all standard doors with no problem and steering is a snap. Both seats recline individually and you have the option of using a snack tray-which my kids must have. it's very light to lift and put in the back of your car and even has a side handle to carry it with.
I have experience with both. I had a front and back and it was too long. I bought a Combi Twin Saavy side by side, which is a good stroller. It hasn't held up as well as I'd like though and its hard to clean. The foot plates broke off right away. It is light, easy to fold, push, etc. I decided to back to a front/back because I was having issues with pulling hair, hitting & not letting each other sleep. Now I have a Countours Options tandem stroller. They sell it at babies r us. Its big and heavy, but I have a Tahoe, so it doesn't bother me. Its super sturdy, which I like. The price is also reasonable. Here's the link below.
HI. I have a Peg Perego Aria Twin side by side. Its awesome! My kids are 3 & 4 yrs old and one coming this fall. It has individual sun shades(which is a biggy for my kids) and they are small. Its easy to manuver and very light weight. Getting the right stroller is a huge deal! I would not suggest the Jeep stroller because it only has a 30lb weight limit per seat.
I see you said you wanted a side by side, but I'd recommend any front/back combo. A side by side is usually very hard to get around in a shopping mall or even Target. You said you don't use it outside much, so I"m guessing you must want it for heading to the store and things like that. My double stroller was a front/back Combi, right at $100, and I got it soley becuase it fit in the trunk of the car I was driving at the time. It was great! I used it a TON and it got abused, but hung in there. I ended up giving it to my SIL when she had 2 little ones. Sorry I can't help with a side by side...oh, one more thing, I was looking for a good umbrella type stroller and found that if I googled for the type of stroller and video, I got some video clips with reviews. The best were done by a store that showed all the features, but maybe if you see a video it will be what you need to make the final decision. good luck!
Mine is a double front back - a sit-n-stand, I think, is what it is called. I love it. The oldest can sit on a "jump seat" (with a seatbelt) or stand on a foot rest in the back (with a back belt). The front holds a baby seat but also turns into a big boy seat. Turns easily, as narrow as a regular stroller - although a bit longer.
