That was "normal" for my daughter. Sometimes, the site was hot and red for a bit also. A little motrin helped. To this day (and she's 17 now!) she still has very sensitive skin and mild reactions to things.
My daughter will be 7 months on the 25th and just recieved her 4 monthshots on Monday. I noticed she has a large bump where she recieved theshots on her leg. Is this normal if not..What do I need to do? This is the 1st time it has happened! Thanks for everyones help! She has no fever or no pain...it does stick out though and is hard.

It's normal, happened to my kids too. Usually goes away after a week.
I think this is pretty normal. You may try massaging the muscle if it doesn't hurt her too much. The injection site is what bothers my kids when they get their shots. I give motrin and massage the leg after the medicine starts to work.
my son gets a huge bump with shots that is usually warm and red. Lasts about a day or 2.
Is she okay otherwise? Or is she running a fever? My son developed a bump after a few of his shots, but he was fine in a few days. It seems a little weird that it's been 4 days and she just got the bump? Not sure . . .
I know this is VERY late reply!:)
It's normal, just massage that spot or cold washcloth and give Ibuprofen 1 hr before appt next time to help with side effects.
I opted for a slower shot schedule with my 2nd and it made all the difference for him -- we were slightly behind (semi-Dr. Sears method), but still got all our shots by 3 yrs, and just much calmer for him and I:)
