OMG! It's horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sunday evening I was laying on the couch feeling run down and exhausted. I dozed off. I woke up to smelling the oddest scent. I knew it but could not put a name to it. I kept trying to find out what it was, it was coming through the vents and it was everywhere. I had a migraine and I could barely open my eyes and function.
We are moving in a couple of weeks and our house is going to go on the market, it's a mobile home so not a huge amount of money is going in on fixing it up, other than cleaning the carpets and stuff....keep this in mind...the house is going up for sale in a couple of weeks with no money to be added to the expenses already budgeted for doing like renting the carpet shampooer...
I realized the smell was magic marker....yes, you can imagine what I found. He had taken the wide tip marker I have been using to mark the boxes I pack and had colored his TV screen black, the walls over his bed have random alphabet written all over the wall up to nearly the ceiling, the other wall has drawings, figures, his name over and over and over. Then the other wall, she went and wrote a story on the wall, in huge 4 inch letters, it covers the whole wall. Sharpie/Magic Marker on light yellow walls and border.
I just could not get mad and blow up, I would be in a position where I might not be able to keep my mouth clean and nice. I stood there in shock and denial. I still plan on being in that state until we move out and can hire someone to come in a paint the walls with sealer. The kids Christmas list just got very short.
I didn't respond well to this because I didn't trust myself to not go overboard. It's a wall, it's not like they burned the house down or broke the windows out. It's just a wall that can be painted. If the house wasn't going on sale in a couple of weeks I might respond differently but today I am numb and denying it happened.
That was Sunday, there were other days last week too weren't there? They were similar but not quite so destructive to the house.
