Use the Shake Weight while wearing your Shape Ups, doing your acai berry colon cleanse and voila!

Just kidding.

The shake weight is yet another gimmick for people to waste their money on. You don't have to spend any money on anything if you want to tone your biceps, triceps, deltoids, pectorals, trapezius, and rhomboids. It's called push-ups! They'll hit every muscle listed AND you don't have to spend a dime! If you can't do regular push-ups, start by doing a push up on the wall. Once that becomes more comfortable, move your feet farther away from the wall to make it harder. Next up - do your push-ups on a step. Finally, do push-ups on your knees or full pushups. Same goes for dips - you can do them on a chair or on a step.

Don't like push-ups? No problem. Go to Dick's Sporting Goods or Play It Again Sports and get a pair of 5 pound and 8 pound weights. Do bicep curls, tricep extensions, front raises, lateral raises, shoulder presses, etc.

The Shake Weight is garbage. Skip it.

I think the best thing about it is the YouTube video, but even though stores like Target carry it, I'm yet to find anyone who says it's effective.

Fun gag gift, but you're probably better using a can of Chunky soup and doing some arm exercises and saving the money.

A friend of our bought it, and I couldn't help but laugh. It's very silly looking using it but she did say she 'feels' it. You could save money by doing push ups on the ground or standing against the wall.

yeah, they are funny, but effective, doubtful. i saw one in target that had been opened and left on the shelf, i picked it up and used it, not only is it light, the shaking part did not seem to speed up any kind of process. I did however purchase the chin exerciser thing, and so far i love the results.

I've seen it on TV and they sell it at sporting stores. I picked oen up while I was in the store and tried it. I looked rediculous but my arms were exhausted in 5 minutes and I think it would work, I definitly felt the burn.

I've seen the commercials and I agree that it looks silly in use but it seems like it could work your muscles because you have to steady your arms against the shaking motion. I'm always hesitant to buy anything like that online though. Maybe go to a store to try it out to see what you think before you make a purchase. Bed Bath & Beyond sells a lot of the "as seen on tv" products so they might have a display where you can test it out.
