Sexy plus Size Clothing

I am looking websites and or retail suggestions for a plus-size goddess considering pregnancy. Always the goddess and never afraid to show some skin I am concerned that wearing unflattering frumpy highly colorized moo-moos will send me into a identity crisis of sorts.

What can I do next?

Hi: ) I am a plus size girl too. I really LOVE the clothes from a store (online and at the mall) called TORRID. It's really modern, young clothes for plus sized girls. Try there. Once you are pregnant, LANE BRYANT has a maternity section online...They have awesome jeans at the regular Lane Bryant, so I'm assuming it carries through to their maternity wear!: )

I have shopped at Torrid, Lane Bryant and Avenue and personally find the clothes at Avenue to be the most long lasting and cute on. They also have alot of great coupons and deals -- GET ON THEIR MAILING LIST! If you go to their website you can sign up to get coupons online. There is a great store in Vernon Hills and also in Mount Prospect ( I think on Rand and Central)

I really like shopping at The Avenue. I like the clothes better there, they don't seem to shrink like the plus size clothes at Lane Bryant. Good Luck.

being pregnant changes your whole life and being. There are a lot of "cute" clothes on the market today for this special time but come with a price attached. Long before your child makes it into this world you will have gone thru a series of life alterring changes incuding how you dress and why. Some of those "cute" clothes are just that. "CUTE" and not practical or COMFORTABLE for the most part. Also be prepared for a lot of 2nd looks and comments. Teen girls think it's cute to walk around with their full distended belly hanging out and it really is sad that they think everyone wants to see it!!!Godd luck in your endeavor of getting pregnant and finding clothes to fit your taste. Soon enough you will find what true identity is all about. No longer will you be L.J but baby so & so's mom. From a mom of 4 and a mamaw to one little precious man. J.

Fashion Bug. I felt their clothes were a little TOO revealing for me when I was pregnant. But, if that's what you are looking for, they have it.

Personally I like Ashley Stewart's clothes because they are sexy for us plus-sized women and they are no more expensive then the other stores for plus- sized women and they definitely have great sales and just step up a size or two when you get pregnant and you still be stylish and pregnant at the same time that is what I did (I am a new mom of a 3 1/2 month old)

Hope it works out for you

When I was preg.I shopped at target the preg area always has 70% off sales and the clothes are cute and all sizes. Remember also when you first get preg and pants are not able to be buttoned use a rubberband around the button hole to expand.

I am a plus-size gal and my twin girls are due next month. I'm going to be honest and tell you that finding plus-size maternity clothes is not easy and some are down-right ugly and most are expensive! Lane Bryant has maternity clothes online, but I never ordered them because they were pricey. I got all my maternity clothes from Motherhood Maternity. They have locations all over. If you go to www.motherhoodmaternity.com and click on plus-size maternity you should find their selection. Their clothes come in 1x, 2x, and 3x. They are stylish and not too expensive. Also, they have an outlet store in Aurora at the Premium Outlets. Also, JC Penny has a nice plus-size maternity line online. I found that baby doll shirts are popular and I bought those just in a bigger size from Fashion Bug. Good luck!

I found a high school home ec program and an older girlk there was thrilled to make maternity clothes for me. I bought the material and the patterns that I liked and paid the girl for her time. I was able to avoid flowered moo moos and put some spare $ in a teens pocket. I had a gorgeous maternity wardrobe! I felt gorgeous, even at month 8 or 9! Good Luck!
