Either way, don't use wipes. Use warm water and a cloth to clean her and pat her dry. Keep her as clean and dry as possible, and even let her go diaper free if you can - put her on some towels on the floor and let her skin breathe.

what does her pediatrician say?
you've taken her, right?

What does the doctor/nurse line say or suggest?
Probably her skin is burned by the acidic diarrhea.
Use plain warm water and a wash cloth to clean her.
Put a liquid antacid on her behind and then grease her up thickly before diapering.
Sometimes let her bottom air out - she can play on a towel in an empty bathtub while you watch her for awhile.
You can have the doctor take a look but burnt skin will take awhile to heal up.
You can also try adding a cup of plain yogurt to her bath water - it's very soothing to the skin.
There's nothing here in your post that indicates that it's from yeast. If you were having diarrhea blowouts in a diaper, your butt would be raw too.
Have vaseline on her bottom or Desitin to put a barrier between her skin and the poops. Don't use wipes - put her in the sink and spray her bottom with water. Put more vaseline or Desitin on her bottom.
I hope that you've taken her to the doctor about the diarrhea. Controlling that is how you help her the most.
I would take her to the doctor to have it looked at. Even if someone here were a doctor, without looking at her it's just a guess.
That being said, my son had horrible diarrhea when he was about 18 months. The doctor suggested we try Paladin for his diaper rash. I had to ask the pharmacist where it was, but it really worked!
I'm so sorry your daughter is going through this -- I know firsthand how terrible it can be with a baby since I went through this just two months ago with my son who was 9 months old at the time.
I'm guessing your daughter has a really bad diaper rash (it was for my son who had diarrhea for 11 days), but I'm not a doctor so you should double check with your doctor. If it's not a yeast infection, then I have some suggestions based on what worked with my son.
No matter what do NOT wipe her bottom! If it's a wet diaper use nothing to clean her bottom. If it's diarrhea/dirty diaper, hose her off with water only (it sounds gross, but no soap). With each diaper change (wet or dirty), cover her rash with generous amount of Vaseline. Then apply a generous amount of maximum strength over the counter diaper rash cream with 40% zinc oxide like Desitin in the purple container. You must do this with EVERY diaper change. After a few days, it will improve significantly - no crying with each diaper change.
Good luck!
Diarrhea for a few days isn't normally. I would definitely call your Pediatrician because they can give you the best advice. Until you are able to call your Pediatrician I would recommend warm cloths just like a few of the other moms. I also love to use a diaper cream called "Butt Paste" and can be found in ShopRite if you aren't close to a baby store. It's the best for rashes and the most extreme help for healing. When it gets a little better you can use Aquaphor.
Its not a rash its a burn. The acids from her digestive system are being fast tracked out of her system and burning her skin. Clean her well with just warm water and pat dry. Then apply diaper rash ointment as a barrier to help the skin heal.
Don't wipe her at all. Just use plain warm water, no wipes. Sit her in the sink or a tub if you have to - you don't say how old she is so it's hard to guess the best way. If you have one of those hand-held showers, you can let water run over her bottom and into the tub. Hard to know if it's the acid from diarrhea or if she has yeast. Sometimes a little baking soda dissolved in water helps counteract the acid, but only if you know that's what she has. I'd call the doctor in the morning and either have her seen or talk to the nurse or a pharmacist about over-the-counter remedies when they open in the morning. In the meantime don't use any powder (don't do it anyway - it can cause yeast). Let her air dry after you rinse her but don't put any kind of rash cream on her if her skin is broken. Good luck - I know this is miserable for her.
You should go in to see the doctor. If a baby has diarrhea for over 24 hours, it's considered pretty serious and they can get dehydrated.
I used to sit my babies and toddlers in a small tub to wash them after particularly messy BM's. Or I'd hose them down in the shower to make sure they were particularly clean. That way I wasn't wiping at raw irritated skin. But if she's been like this for 4 days, you need to get in. It could be bacterial, etc.
we used to mix mylanta with vaseline and enough flour to thicken it up to a desitin consistency. and put that on babys bottom.
the mylanta will counteract the acidic poops and the vaseline will sooth and allow healing.
don't use wipes as they can be irritating to broken skin. do a warm water rinse instead and pat dry
i also suggest taking baby to the pedi to make sure they are not dehydrated from the loose stools and also find out what they say about the rash.
please dont put baking soda on the baby. it has salt in it .rinse the baby wipe with warm water.and wipe gently. wipes have alittle die in them she may have a reaction to the wipes. switch diaper brand reaction to diaper. and try sprinkle thin layer of corn starch. store bought no baby powder.no water sprayer it can burn her.warm bath.plain water till healed
peda sure or clear power aid or clear gatoraid mix half water half the drink for a few days till direaha is gone
