It's not in the Olathe area, but Operation Breakthrough is a wonderful organization serving families in need.
I have extra baby stuff my son's outgrown and a closet of clothes that need "weeding. I'd love to know a good place to donate to... suggestions ladies?
Thanks!
Thank you so much, all of you. That is exactly the information I was hoping for - I'm excited about freeing our household of extra stuff and being able to bless those in our area with it!
It's not in the Olathe area, but Operation Breakthrough is a wonderful organization serving families in need.
Operation Breakthrough is a day care, preschool, after school care facility for extremely low income families. They are located at about Linwood Blvd and 31st Street in KC, MO. They are always so appreciative of any donations at all!
Angel Babies in Olathe off Santa Fe and Mur-len (back in the stores around Price chopper), is a non for profit organization that takes donations. Money helps out children in need. They will give you a reciept for tax right off, if you want.
Hi T.,
I belong to a women's group that donate clothing and other essentials to several not-for-profit groups here in the Kansas City area (both KS & MO). If you would like more info. you can call me at ###-###-####. Thanks so much for wanting to help others.

Hello T.!
I donate to the Catholic Charities ( on 87th street), Salvation Army, Crisis Pregnancy center in Olathe, and most churches take donations as well.
I hope that helps.

Overland Park Church of Christ (corner of 119th and Pflumm) has a sharing ministry you can donate to and they will give it to people in need. Also, there is a Salvation Army a little further down Pflumm that helps homeless families get back on their feet.
Hi T.,
If you have business attire to donate, please bring it to the BePoised Empowerment Expo and Suit Drive. The Drive benefits Dress For Success, which helps underpriviledged women enter the workforce. For more info, check out: www.bepoisedxpo.eventsbot.com .
Hi T. ~
I work for a day service that helps adults with developmental disabilities. It is called "Heartstrings Community Foundation". You can read about our services on our web-site : www.heartstringscf.org
We have a thrift store, which sells used clothing & accessories, that is located in old downtown Overland Park. It is called "Sacks on Santa Fe". We take donations at Sacks on Santa Fe. All of the proceeds, from the sales at Sacks on Santa Fe, go back into Heartstrings ~ so we can continue to provide services to the adults that we serve. Sacks on Santa Fe is a really fun little store! We'd LOVE to have any and all donations of clothing you'd like to send our way!! Check our our web-site!
Blessings,
D. L.
