in west peabody there is a place called Centinnial park. There is a new indoor play place called The Little Bear Place.. good luck
I really want to have a variety of playgrounds to visit with my 18-month-old son this summer and would love to hear which ones are your favorites and where they are located. Thanks so much!

I love Stage Fort in Gloucester. Great playground, beautiful view, picnic areas, and beach access!
Hi S.,
Have you heard of the fabulous book/guide to playgrounds - it's called, North Shore Playgrounds and there is an online blog too: http://playgrounding.blogspot.com/
It's a wonderful source.
As a mom of three (6,4,1), I love:
1) Lynch Park, Beverly
2) Essex Middle School, Essex, MA
And, there is a really neat new playgound being built in Beverly called: Boundless Playground: http://salemnews.com/punews/local_story_189000639.html
Have fun,

Gowdy park in Lynn off of route 129 is a great park for toddlers, it offers some benches in the shade too for the parents or for a lunch area.
Patton Park in Hamilton right on 1A is another nice park; lots of equipment like swings and slides, but it also is very large and grassy and offers plenty of space to run around or lay a blanket down and relax out of the way. There is a pond there as well that 'supervised' children can look at or bring a net to and try and catch frogs/etc. ALSO right across the street is Winthrop elementary school - they have a nice little playground as well.
Bradly Palmer State Park in Hamilton has a nice picnic area and wadding pool for little ones.
